The Swamp

He was a reporter's reporter. He knew the insides of Capitol Hill like few other reporters. He understood how the federal budget worked, and could actually explain it to people who didn't. And he always had kind and encouraging words for the young reporters coming up behind him. New York Times reporter David Rosenbaum died too soon, after a brutal attack and robbery this weekend. In the Senate press gallery, reporters stood clustered in small groups Monday, mourning the loss of their colleague. Besides his passion for reporting, he was an avid softball player and a constant presence on the tennis courts until a shoulder problem limited his play. We will miss him.

Where was the attack?

Is this not a news story? Where is the Tribune's, or AP's, or NYTimes Wire Service story?
