USA Today/Gallup have a new poll out this morning that Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) likely won't be bragging about as he tries to win Connecticut's Democratic primary next week.

The poll found that 46 percent of Republicans had a favorable view of Lieberman compared with 38 percent of Democrats who said they looked favorably on Lieberman.

It probably will be as radioactive for him among many Democrats as "The Kiss" from President Bush during the State of the Union.

This poll corroborates surveys that show Lieberman running behind the anti-Iraq war candidate Ned Lamont for the Democratic nomination.

But it also underscores why Lieberman, who has been a strong supporter of how Bush has prosecuted the Iraq War, has said he will run as an independent should he lose the primary. It will be Republican votes that likely will carry him past Lamont in the general election.

I guess I really am the only GOPer that can't stand the guy. God, I hope he doesn't switch parties... him and Ryan together would be dangerous.

JOE MUST GO!!!
