Good morning.

Official Washington is in all but holiday shutdown mode, but here are a very few events of note for Wednesday, December 20, 2006 as collected by the Associated Press.

President Bush is signing tax-relief legislation at 10:45 a.m.

12 p.m. TERRORISM — The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, the Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies and George Washington University hold a seminar on ``Strategic Outlook: Terrorism, War, and the Roadmap to Reconciliation, Stability and Peace.’’ Participants include: Dr. Hillel Fradkin, Hudson Institute; David Schenker, Washington Institute for Near East Policy; Dr. Trita Parsi, National Iranian American Council; Dalal Hasan, National Endowment for Democracy.

9 a.m. NAM AGENDA — The National Association of Manufacturers holds a news conference to announce its policy and legislative agenda for 2007.

11 a.m. LATINOS-HUNGER — The National Council of La Raza, other organizations, hold a news conference to release a report on hunger and food insecurity in the Latno community.

12:15 p.m. FOREIGN POLICY — The New America Foundation holds a discussion on American foreign policy following the Bush administration, with Michael Lind of the foundation.
Location: 7th floor, 1630 Connecticut Ave. NW.

1 p.m. SADDAM HUSSEIN — Ramsey Clark reports on the status of the appeals of Saddam Hussein and his co-defendants from death sentences and prison terms imposed by an Iraqi court.
Location: National Press Club.
