No men kissing on Bush's entry

As President Bush entered the chamber, he received cordial handshakes from Democrats and Republicans alike.

But I didn't see any kisses like the one he and Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut independent, exchanged at a previous State of the Union. That kiss caused Lieberman a lot of grief during last year's Democratic primary. It helped him lose it matter of fact.

As Bush was walking in, shaking hands with everybody, who was the guy Bush tried to hug? The guy held him out at arm's length. He looked like Lieberman, but I couldn't really tell.

I didn't see J. Dennis Hastert there. He's usually hard to miss. At the last State of the Union speech he was drooling all over Bush.

He was there - I saw him when Bush was walking in trying to get a handshake - he was leaning over that railing.

I wonder how he felt back in the gallery watching the speech instead of being next to Dick Cheney??

Denny was probably uncomfortable w/ indigestion from the 12" meatball sandwhich and half chicken he gobbled up in the limo ride to the Capital.

By the way, does anyone know if Denny has learned the words to the National Anthem yet??

And Jethro, I think he ate that before he got in the limo - he had the limo go through the Wendy's drive through for a few doubles with cheese.
