I think this post was written tounge-in-cheek, or maybe just to rile up the Obama haters around here.

Either way, try to find a sense of humor.

I think the Slate piece is written tongue-in-cheek, but if you have even a shallow curiousity in this blog you'd know that James, Zeleny, et al follow Obama around like little puppy dogs. And they don't go where they don't fawn.

As Senator Obama becomes more popular, the media will have to run with 'humorous' articles making fun of his popularity. How dare the American people find a hero in public service!

I now know Obama is the Messiah. I was having lunch with some friends,we all ordered fish and a loaf of bread.
The waiter told us there was only 1 fish and 1 loaf of bread left.
Obama was having lunch next to us with his pal, Tony Rezko, and over heard what the waiter told us.
Obama told the waiter to serve us and the waiter expressed his shortage of fish and bread again.
Do as I say,Obama commanded! The waiter came out with a basket that had one fish and one loaf of bread in it and showed it to Obama.
Feed them all,Obama said.The waiter gave one fish and one loaf to my friend and then there was another in the basket and another and another!!!
I asked the waiter for tarter sauce and he told me he's completely out of it....I looked to Obama for help and he told me,"I don't know how to do that....yet."

Timothy Noah started his "Obama is the Messiah" "watch" 10 days ago, to the amusement of people like myself. The "Swamp" is right on top of things, as usual.

Evidently, even the Lefties at Slate think the Obama media coverage is over-the-top fawning.

The media just wants a democratic candidate that is either half black/half white or half woman/half man. They like to take progression slowly.

It's hilarious that a couple of the Left's Obamaniacs don't realize that this is tongue-in-cheek and only for laughs.

My guess is that Dorning wanted to bait and embarass the Right wing loonies who wouldn't get the sarcasm, and he caught a couple of lefties in the process!

this blog while written to be humorous, has just unconciously made a big leap of fear to attack the psyche of the obama supporter via their faith and belief in his/their dreams. just trying in basic terms to hop on the bandwagon of oppression and ultimately racism or some other class related prejudice. imagine being that guy joking about martin luther king jr. or gandhi or jesus or buddha.. why even stand on that side of the fence?

Titled "Great Expectations", it breathelssly reports how Obama's anticipated announcement is "eagerly anticipated" (by who, except Tribune reporters?) and manages to associate Obama's name with pictures of George Washington, FDR, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan. It then proclaims that Obama "is wrapping himself in the mystique of Abraham Lincoln".
