The nation's capital is a city that runs on Blackberrys. They're pervasive on Capitol Hill, at the White House, throughout the bureaucracy, and in the newsrooms.

Because of the reliance on them here, maybe even the over reliance, they've long been referred to as crackberries, due to their addictive, narcotic-like qualities.

Now we, like many others in North America, are dealing with a massive Blackberry outage. If Al Qaeda wanted to bring this city to its knees, it could not have come up with a better stratagem.
