The Swamp

LITTLETON, N.H. -- Sen. Barack Obama paid his Memorial Day respects here by laying a wreath in front of a war memorial outside the town's community center.

"This is a day in which we reflect on those who have fallen and the incredible sacrifices that they made on behalf of all of us," he told reporters before his first political event of the day here at a senior center.

Before his arrival, a television crew modified nature, so that a branch from a tree would not interfere with the shot.

Thanks to the "Swamp", I've been told more about Obama's choice in ice cream (vanilla and mint chocolate chip, evidently) than I have about his position on the current illegal immigration bill. Maybe the same enterprising reporters who shift trees to make Obama's photo ops shoot better, and who fearlessly run down his ice cream selections, might actually ask him how he'll vote on the bill.

(Editor's note: The Swamp reported several days ago on Obama's concerns about the immigration bill.)

shut up and lighten up Bruce...

"Editor's note: The Swamp reported several days ago on Obama's concerns about the immigration bill.)"

Bruce's note: I must have hit a sensitive spot for the "Swamp" editor to try a rather feeble instant rebuttal--or more accurately, non-rebuttal. The "report" (which I read) did NOT say whether Obama would vote for or against the bill as it now stands--which is the question any presidential candidate should have to answer.

It's not a real difficult question. It's a question reporters should be asking of all presidential candidates--and demand an answer to.

Mother Nature paying the price for Boy Wonder's photo op.

terry is worried about the tree!! That's a breakthrough, T.!

And to think I pruned my aspen tree this spring.

Having said that; I think even I would have been astute enough politically to tell the guys 'find a new shot, leave (pun intended) the branch.

But then THAT would be reported and the conservatives would be branding him politically correct, and asking what's the big deal about one branch and why is he pandering to the lefty enviros?

See, It's a lose lose situation.

Well CM, its Boy WOnder, of course its going to be a lose-lose situation.

If Algore gets in the campaign, you can bet he'll bring up the unnecessary taking of that poor, defenseless tree's limb.

Terry,

I am merely pointing out the 'Strangelovian' nature of US politics;
Any politico can be destroyed easily, be it 'Dressed to Kill' Guiliani or 'Breck' Edwards on thin grounds.

Now a tree branch is a political issue.

Give me a break. A tree branch? It costs the city of Denver a half million dollars in security every time Bush or Cheney comes to town. I wish they'd stay away.

In the top pic it looks like Obama has 3-legs,3- arms and a massive cyst on his upper left shoulder....could this be from his past, admitted, illegal drug use???

Paulo

Immediately after saying "Memorial Day is not about politics" Obama leaves a pile of politics on the ground.

That's such a pathetic statement, which is saying a lot based upon your dozens of previous posts here in The Swamp.
