President Bush helped Republican Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas raise $650,000 today at a private home in Wichita, with a small share of that money going to the National Republican Senatorial Committee's campaign fund.
About 500 people attended, with the campaign confirming the cost for one of those "VIP'' sessions with Bush, a chance to pose for a picture with the president: $4,600.
Landing in Wichita, at McConnell Air Force Base, the president also had a chance to thank workers who are retrofitting one of the two Boeing 747 aircraft that serve as Air Force One -- the Boeing facility where the presidential aircraft is being upgraded has a strip adjoining the base.
"Thank you for making this a really comfortable airplane,'' the president told the workers there. "I can't tell you what an honor it is to fly overseas in Air Force One and have that big bird park, have people around the world see the great majesty of our country reflected in this airplane.''

There are still people that want there to be photographic proof they supported this failure of a President?

Still flying around on the tax payers. Gotta love the "Conservatives"!
You're right Tony, who the hell in their right mind would want proof you supported this idiot!

What a deal!! Go ahead losers and pay $4,600.00 to have your picture taken with the worst President the United States has ever had.

Well you can't blame 'em. He may not be the greatest president, but it still is history. Ebay likes to sell that type of history.
"have that big bird park, have people around the world see the great majesty of our country reflected in this airplane."
Did he really say this? I'm so happy the lack of majesty in our foreign policies and president and his representatives might be patched up by how big our "birds" are. Something tells me this is the exact same attitude some people despise Americans for. I don't know its a toss up.

I wonder how much that picture with Abramoff brought in?

"the president told the workers there"..."have people around the world see the great majesty of our country reflected in this airplane"
It is a good thing we have the plane because there is nothing impressive about boosh-y except his ignorance and stupidity.

$4600 spent getting a picture taken with Bush. Isn't this the same group of people who whine the loudest about how unfare their tax rate is?
On a different note, considering how big this house must be, you got to wonder how many illegal immigrants have maintained this house over the years. All subcontracted, of course.

Yeah, I can't wait until one of the photos of the president with JOE SHMOE is listed. I'm sure it will be snapped up right away. NOT!
People like to have pictures of THEMSELVES with the president. No one carries around a picture of the president with someone else.
But the real problem with this is that if the president is going to raise money this way, the money should go to the government - not to either political party. The president is still on our clock, not his own. When he gets out of office, he can pose with as many people as he chooses.
It's no different than charging for one night in the Lincoln bedroom.

"Back in the Day" when Bush had support and power, a photo with him went for $25,000.
Too bad "Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island" aren't still on -- they both did a great job of providing work for dried-up has-beens and coulda-shoulda-beens. This man is clearly on the downward cycle of his career, and even if he doesn't wind up the Worst President Ever, I'd put money on his being the Quickest And Most Thoroughly Ignored.

HaHa. Well obviously not you or me. I hear ya.
So you think those Albanians might not want a picture with Booshy eh? I read they don't understand why people have reservations about Bush. Something about "they might be crazy." You can find plenty of people willing to buy a picture of Mr. President here. The fact that he's with JOE SHMOE is IRRELEVANT to the small clans claiming for him to be our "Hero in Chief till Haven" (probably those are the last few die hards that make up the small remainder of his ratings), or, my favorite, someone in...let's say war torn country (or not) who's looking to use it for target practice. Just saying... You never know what might be relevant or irrelevant to people, as we learned with the war, and above all the power of perception.
