Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards will be in Chicago for a fundraiser Wednesday, just as Sen. Barack Obama prepares to head to Edwards' hometown.
Edwards will be at BB's bar and restaurant Wednesday evening, while Obama is expected to headline fundraisers Thursday in Raleigh and Chapel Hill.
Both Democratic campaigns told the Raleigh News & Observer newspaper that the opposing visits were a pure coincidence since the schedules are planned months in advance. But it's no coincidence that both men are pouring it on when it comes to fundraising, in advance of the June 30 deadline for the second-quarter.

In the real political world, the latest Rasmussen Poll (June 11) has Obama and Edwards trailing Clinton big time for the Dem nomination. And Republican Rudi Giuliani beats the Dems in a general election matchup.
For the Dems, its Clinton 37%, St. Barack 25%, Edwards 11%. And Giuliani beats St. Barack 51%-39% in the general election. [Rudi beats Hillary by 47%-44%].

Earth to "RNC". Learn how to spell "Electoral" before you start talking about the Electoral College.
Back to the point. The latest poll in the Tribune's sister paper, the LA Times, has Obama down to Clinton by a similar 11%.

You're right Bruce. Everyone should just concede today to Slimeball Rudy. Why even have an election next year. Most elections are decided by a poll a half year before the primaries. Thanks for the great info!
