Looks like Chris Dodd has found a new way to connect with the American people.
His presidential campaign has found soaring popularity for its "talk clock," a log of how much talk time each candidate got during the New Hampshire debates this week.
The Democratic presidential candidates debated Sunday night, and the 10 Republican would-be presidents debated Tuesday night, both events taking place at Saint Anselm College in Manchester.
At first, the Dodd campaign sent his clock to the media to illustrate how little time he was granted during the debate (he tied with Ohio Sen. Dennis Kucinich for the fewest number of questions asked by CNN moderator Wolf Blitzer).
But the clock proved popular. So popular, in fact that it helped Dodd’s web site get some 20,000 hits Sunday and Monday, far more than usual. So the campaign decided to do the clock again for the GOP debate.
Voters, said Dodd spokeswoman Colleen Flanagan, "deserve to see all of the candidates involved in the debates respond fairly and fully to the issues of the day."
Sure enough, the Republican version was a hit, or more precisely, about 16,000 more hits to the Dodd site Tuesday and Wednesday.
So for the Chris Dodd campaign, at the moment, it's about time.

Another Chris Dodd article? He has more "Swamp" articles than he has voters supporting him.
The most interesting item in Dodd's debate timeline (and predictably, the item the reporter ignores) is that in the Republican debate, the person with the most air time (by far) was a Democrat--CNN flack Wolf Blitzer.
