The Associated Press is reporting this morning that Hollywood's biggest director, Steven Spielberg, has endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton. Not sure which voters would be swayed by who Spielberg endorses but it certainly can't hurt. It does make you wonder what would a Spielberg campaign commercial for Clinton would look like.
By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press WriterNEW YORK (AP) — Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton has won the endorsement of film producer and director Steven Spielberg, ending a tug-of-war between Clinton and Barack Obama for the Hollywood heavyweight's affections.
"I've taken the time to familiarize myself with the impressive field of Democratic candidates and am convinced that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate to lead us from her first day in the White House," Spielberg said Wednesday in a statement released by the Clinton campaign.
Spielberg has been a supporter and contributor to Clinton in the past, but his support for her presidential bid wasn't always certain. In February, he co-hosted a Beverly Hills fundraiser for Obama with his DreamWorks production partners David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg that brought in more than $1.3 million. Katzenberg is backing Obama, as is Geffen, a former Clinton ally turned critic.
Spielberg has directed some of Hollywood's most admired films, including "Jaws," "E.T. The Extraterrestrial," "Jurassic Park," "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan."

This makes perfect sense. Hillary's campaign is pure science fiction, right up Speilberg's alley. He could do a great movie on a woman who lives off her husbands name, waking up to the reality that her last name is the ONLY reason anybody cares. Go Steven, perpetuate the fiction of Hillary's run.

Swamp
Niiiice Swamp. But in the future play down celebrity endorsements of the other candidates, including your favorite, as dismissively. Was it an oversight that you neglected to include Katzenburg and Geffen in that particular sentence? We could equally ponder whether their endorsements of Obama mean anything.
How pathetically obvious....
