Half of the House leadership are millionaires, according to financial disclosures, with Speaker Nancy Pelosi being the wealthiest House leader, with her and her husband's biggest asset being a wine vineyard in St. Helena, Calif. Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill) was the second wealthiest, with assets of between $9 million and $32 million. House Minority Leader disclosed assets between $2.2 million and $7.9 million.
Rudy Giuliani, the Republican presidential candidate, has used subtle put-downs of President Bush's leadership style in recent days as he has tried to burnish his own leadership credentials.
Rep. Ray LaHood, a Peoria Republican and one of the most outspoken members of Congress in his party, has suspended his re-election efforts as he considers and is apparently considered for, the presidency of his alma mater, Bradley University.

It’s no secret that luxury sales have been booming over the past six years. But at a time when the average American is grousing about meager wage growth and feeling strapped by a 30-cent spike in the price of gas, splurging by the wealthy has risen to gaudy proportions as the super rich seek new heights in pampering, price tags and one-of-a-kind items that set them apart.

The release and the contents of a campaign memo by Sen. Obama's team "HILLARY CLINTON (D-PUNJAB)’S PERSONAL FINANCIAL AND POLITICAL TIES TO INDIA” is really disgusting and disappointing. He really has dropped in my opinion and shows that he is not ready for prime time, for sure. Maybe "Barry" ought to remember he still has Tony Rezko issues. I think I need to rethink my support for him and scrape the sticker off my car's bumper.
