For the record, in case anyone is wondering about the impact of the escalating political debate over the war in Iraq on the president's war policy, President Bush said this in Cleveland today, on his way to a speech about the war this afternoon:
"I'm going to spend some time talking about the war on terror and our need to succeed in Iraq,'' Bush said. "And I'm going to remind the people in the audience today that troop levels will be decided by our commanders on the ground, not by political figures in Washington, D.C., and that we've got a plan to lead to victory.
"And I fully understand that this is a difficult war, and it's hard on the American people. But I will once again explain the consequences of failure to the American people, and I'll explain the consequences of success, as well.''

Victory for whom? I suspect he means Haliburton.

"... and that we've got a plan to lead to victory."
God help our military, because Dubya is incapable of it.

Bush - "We've Got A Plan To Lead To Victory"

The Loony Left wins again!
The Dems have effectively suppressed the GOP "surge" message by continually putting pressure on the GOP and suppressing the talking points of the right wingers.
As this example shows,Bush must continually defend himself every day. The focus is on how awful the GOP plan is because the Dems are now controlling the message.
GOP talking points have become meaningless, carry no weight, just continual fodder for criticism.
GOP=worthless

Dubya: What a moron, what a duplicitious nitwit.
After 4+ years we ain't got no stinkin' bin Laden.
We ain't got no stinkin' solution in Afghanistan.
We ain't got no stinkin' solution in Iraq.
What we got is a new definition of cluster.

Cheneybush seems to think that saying it's so, makes it so. $12 billion per month and all we get is more death and destruction. Thanks to the Chimpy McFlightsuit puppet and its merry band of Neocons and, of course, Satancheney, the puppet master. Cheneybush is the worst disaster to hit the USA since 1865.

I don't believe anything George Bush says, even if he were to say his name is George Bush

Anyone who listens to and believes this illegitimate moron Bush is as clueless, ignorant, and pathetic as he is. Watch the guy talk...he makes no sense whatsoever. This man is despicable.
What is his plan for victory?? What are the detail;s ans specifics of his exit strategy?? What are the benchmarks the puppet Iraqi government have to obtain?? Congress shouldn't give Bush another nickel for Iraq. Let the Iraqis deal with their own problems.

Poor Chimpy McFlightsuit. Can you visualize his de-briefing of Dick "Shotgun" Cheney back at the White House tonight?
Chimpy: "Dick, I told them what you told me to say, but they're not listening."
Shotgun: "Just keep at it, Chimpy, just stick to your talking points. Here, have a peanut."
Chimpy: "Oh, goodie! But they keep saying that everything that you've told me to tell them in the past has turned out to be wrong! Are you sure that we have a plan for victory?"
Shotgun: "Of course we have a plan, you idiot! Here, have a banana."
Chimpy: "Oh, yum! Really? We do? Yay! Can I see it?"
Shotgun: "Chimpy, I've told you over and over again that it's disclosed only on a 'need to know basis only. Besides it's very detailed and complex, there's lots and lots of words, and no pictures. Here, have a grape."
Chimpy: "Ooh, ooh ooh! That's right, I remember. But what can I tell those nasty reporters?"
Shotgun: "Remember what I said to tell them - that patience is a virtue? Here, have a cookie."
Chimpy: "Oh boy! [Munch. Munch.] But those meanie reporters keep yelling questions at me. They say that over 3600 American soldiers have died in Iraq. They keep asking how I feel about our troops acting as referees in a religious/clan-based civil war. What do I say?"
Shotgun: "Repeat after me: War on terror. Fight them there or fight them here. Last throes. Dead-enders. Al-Qaeda."
Chimpy: "OK. War on terror. Fight them there or fight them here. Last throes. Dead-enders. Al-Qaeda . . . . "

I guess Dubya forgot to remind Darth and Rummy about "letting our commanders on the ground decide troop levels", when we plunged our country into this quagmire called Iraq. What were Bush's parting comments to Donald?, that he was the "finest Secretary of Defense this nation has ever had."
OMG, how can anyone listen to a word this deluded President says?

Wait.....I hear the old rants coming back. "The democrats don't have a plan". " No plan". It seems as the only plan Bush ever had for Iraq , was defeat. Defeat or incompetence, you choose.

Who does he think he is, Richard Nixon?
He's got a plan? Really? Then when does he plan to execute it, after another 3600 U.S. troops are dead and another 25000 have had their brains scrambled?
Posted by: Bud McFarlin | July 10, 2007 5:53 PM
The chimpmeister keeps insisting he has a plan, but never says what it is. Executive privilege anyone? I a D kept on issuing such banal trivialities, the republitards would be all over her. But no, they keep up with the "just you wait and see what we have planned" routine. What a pile of horse hockey! Worst president ever, and bush boy is no better.

Yeah, right. Troop levels decided by commanders on the ground. Wonder why so many commanders on the ground have been forced out. Maybe because dumbass Bush didn't like their numbers
