AMES, Iowa -- There are a lot of yellow T-shirts today on the campus of Iowa State University, where the Iowa Straw Poll is underway.
The campaign for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is giving away the shirts as people check in at his sprawling tent city outside Hilton Coliseum.
Besides free barbecue, Romney's spread includes seating for hundreds, a climbing wall and inflatable slide for children, and a large "Romney Stage" for bands and speakers.
A confident Romney just appeared on the stage bearing his name.
"Grab the people next to you that don't have the yellow shirts, twist their arms, make sure they vote," he said. "Change begins in Iowa. It begins today...Let's go out there and win one."
With temperatures in the 90s, Romney, like several other candidates is wearing black. White washes out too much for the cameras.

It's lunchtime for young and old under the Romney tent. John McCormick photos.

"make sure they vote"
I am sure I will vote but no amount of arm twisting will get me to vote for the likes of him.

Hey, aren't those Howard Dean's old campaign shirts turned inside-out?

Looks like a food bank. These people don't care what this idiot has to say, the BBQ is free. And Yeah RomanB, those probably ARE Dean's jerseys.
