"...behind Obama's campaign rhetoric about taking on special interests lies a more complicated truth. A Globe review of Obama's campaign finance records shows that he collected hundreds of thousands of dollars from lobbyists and PACs as a state legislator in Illinois, a US senator, and a presidential aspirant."
So it boils down to this: Obama has always practiced sleazy money driven politics in the Cook County tradition. He has never shown the slightest inclination to change that -- and yet he's now telling us to trust him, that when he's in power he's going to lean everything up.
Yeah, right. [nudge, wink]

"It's time to turn the page on conventional foreign policy thinking," he told several hundred people in Council Bluffs. "Nobody had more experience in Washington than Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, and what they lacked was good judgment. I'm running on my judgment and I will tell the American people where I stand."
Truer words were never spoke.

Obama won't just roll in Iowa. He'll roll over all other presidential contenders & become the great president this country desperately needs. After the disaster of the Bush/Cheney years, this country will need all the help it can get.

The PR firm of McCormick, Dorning & Co. is worth every penny Sen. Obama pays them.

Obama's no different than the other candidates. Until there is significant campaign reform, we'll continue to get folks who are at the beck and call of those who financed their elections.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Federal campaign funding & term limits for all levels of office are the only way to give the American people honesty in government.

I think the saddest thing abput this guy is that there are actually people who are naive enough to beleive his holier than though act. Anyone who lives in IL and has seen how these Cook County and IL Democrats do business should be ashamed of themselves for even thinking of springing this guy looses on a national level. Imagine the Natinal GOv operating like IL does.
