At least one special interest group has already voiced disappointment with Sen. Barack Obama's decision to skip most future presidential forums.
"The League of Conservation Voters and the California League of Conservation Voters have already invited all of the candidates to a forum on energy and global warming in California later this fall," the LCV said in a news release. "We would be greatly disappointed if Senator Obama were to decline this important invitation."
On Saturday, Obama's campaign said he would skip most future forums because they are taking too much time away from direct contact with voters. Here is the link to Saturday's Swamp post on the topic, as well as a story in Sunday's Tribune.

So....what they really mean is that Obama has goofed up a few too many times in debate settings.
A few more foreign policy goofs to scare the many Americans uneasy about both Al Qaeda's plans and about invading Pakistan or any other country, and he's toast.
I'm not going to vote for him (or Hillary) so I don't care where he appears, but forums (fora?) are far more efficient ways of meeting voters than pressing the flesh.

I can't blame Obama on this one...why should he have to take his private jet and fly across the country to talk to a bunch of tree-hugging loons.

I think this is a good decision. He can get his message across more effectivley by talking directly to voters instead of some tired debate.

This move by NObama shouldn't surprise anybody.
It demonstrates nothing less than cowardice by a do-nothing, non-experienced presidential wanna-be.
He's the only human being on earth than can make Hellary Clinton look good.
