Rudy Giuliani doesn’t appear too worried about Sunday morning’s Republican presidential debate -- instead of spending the night before boning up on policy details, Giuliani will be rubbing elbows with the rich and famous at a Hamptons society event.
As this invitation for the $500-a-ticket benefit shows, Giuliani and his wife Judith will be the guests of honor at Southampton Hospital’s 49th Annual Summer Party On the Town, “an evening of dining & dancing” under a tent in Southampton on Long Island.
Giuliani has been generous to the hospital – he and his wife are listed as donors in the second highest giving group, the “Platinum Circle,” and his security consulting business Giuliani Partners is listed in the third highest giving category, the “18 Karat Gold Circle.”
Even though the public event is not included on Giuliani’s Republican presidential campaign schedule, campaign spokeswoman Maria Comella acknowledged he and his wife will be attending the charity event Saturday night.
And right afterward, Comella said, Giuliani will fly out to Des Moines so that he can make the hour and a half debate that begins at 8 a.m. Sunday on “This Week With George Stephanopoulos” on ABC.

I would suggest that all of our right-wing friends read the article from the NY Times that is referenced in Swamp Gas this morning about the buddy-buddy relationship between Rudy and Roger Ailes of Faux News. If Rudy gets the nomination, they might as well rename it the Rudy News Channel - it will be all Rudy, all the time.

This Mr. Giuliani is the least qualified person out of all candidates to be President. He believes he's entitled to be President because he was mayor of New York on Sept. 11th and ventured down to ground zero for a photo op. Folks need to remember he did next to nothing to protect NYC from attack between 1993 when the WTC was first attacked and Sept. 11th, 2001. He brings absolutely nothing to the table. He's all about himself. He's a fraud.
