Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama together would make an “invincible” ticket, or so says Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

In a new editorial attributed to the ailing leader in Cuba’s communist party newspaper, Castro makes it clear that he’s no fan of the two Democratic contenders for president.

In the piece, Castro took out after Obama and Clinton for their recent expressions of support for democratic reform in his country.

“Both of them feel the sacred duty of demanding ‘a democratic government in Cuba,’” says the editorial, according to an English translation on the Granma newspaper website. “They are not making politics. They are playing a game of cards on a Sunday afternoon.”

Election's over! Clinton and Obama have
Castro's blessing (whoops, he's a Commie); correction, Castro's vote (nope, he maybe can't vote); how about Castro's prognostication ability? Can't you see the commercials? Pictures of the great Trifecta! Clear the air space and reserve the newspaper full pages now!

If only Fidel would go quitly into the night... and take Raul with him.

I don't care what Fidel says about Barack and Hillary any more than I care what Chavez says about Dubya. They're all three either dictators or wanna be dictators. Theirs will be the next communist country to go into the circular file of history.

Maybe you should actually READ the article, not just the headline and caption before you post this republic idiocy.

Does Castro buy his track suits at the same store Paulie Walnuts did on The Sopranos?

"Sunday Afternoon With Obama, Clinton and Castro"

What an f-ing joke, Castro has become so sick and senile that he barely even knows his own name.

I know the Repugs are desperate to get (R) Larry Craig off the front page but this is just pathetic.

Nice try, Wingnuts!

More dribble from Bruce Whinerdyce.

"...for their recent expressions of support for democratic reform in his country."

Democratic reform??? I guess he didn't have enough time to do that in his first 45 years in power.

What is wrong with the media. I watched Wolf Blitzer on CNN parrot this BS about Fidel supporting a Hillary-Obama, as well as calling it invincible. He did no such thing, besides offer some analysis of the way candidates must pander to the hardline Cuban vote in Florida. The actual quote is:

"Today, talk is about the seemingly invincible ticket that might be created with Hillary for President and Obama for Vice President. Both of them feel the sacred duty..."

Even the NY Times has a headline "Castro: Clinton-Obama Invincible." No, he said "talk" (ie. conventional widoom) says that combo would be tough to beat. This all smells of a Republican trick to associate the dems with Fidel.

av2ts,

It doesn't take a large leap to make that association.
