President Bush is making campaign fundraising appearances for Republicans in New Mexico and the state of Washington.
1 p.m. - 2 p.m. GLOBAL WARMING-HURRICANES — The Center for American Progress hosts a presenattion, “Forecast: Storm Warnings,” to discuss the effect of global warming on hurricane severity and frequency. In addition, there will be a discussion of necessary federal, state, and local policies that would increase the resilience of hurricane prone communities. Panelists: Mayor Richard T. Crotty, R, Orange County, Fla.; Dr. Peter Webster, Professor in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Environmental Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology; John B. Copenhaver, President and Chief Executive Officer, DRI International; Jane Bullock, Former Chief of Staff for Federal Emergency Management Agency Director James Lee Witt. Moderator: Daniel J. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. DISTILLERY — Master distillers from leading liquor companies produce George Washington’s colonial-style whiskey on authentic copper post stills, according to Washington’s actual recipe.

12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. INCOME-HEALTH INSURANCE — In anticipation of the Tuesday release of the U.S. Census Bureaus “Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage” report, American Enterprise Institute scholars Joseph Antos, Douglas J. Besharov, and Karlyn Bowman will host a briefing to discuss this report card on key U.S. social and economic indicators.

Re: the global warming conference. Are these the same people who predicted last year to be a record for hurricanes due to global warming? And this year to be as bad? Woops, the "experts" wrong again.
They predict a 3 degree rise in temperature by 2050? I challenge any one of them to accurately predict -- right on the button -- the exact temperature at the end of Navy Pier at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

If they are giving out samples, I'd go to the distillery. Seems like more fun than global warming and hurricanes.

The Center for American Progress is just a Clinton spin machine run by John Podesta. This is a think tank with far left agenda to create demand for more liberal government prorams to gin up Hil's 08 election.
