Becky Carroll, deputy chief of staff to Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and a veteran of Illinois political campaigns, this week moves to the Barack Obama presidential campaign as director of Women for Obama.
Women for Obama, led by candidate wife Michelle Obama, is the campaign's effort to build up support among female voters, a group in which Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is especially strong as she runs to be the nation's first woman president.
Carroll's experience includes time as a communications aide to Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. She also was communications director for Chicago congressman Rahm Emanuel's crucial first campaign for his seat in Congress.

Linking Blago and BO?! That speaks for itself, and volumes. Thank you Mike, I don't even have to write a snarky comment.

It's wonderful the Swamp reports this kind of earthshattering news.
About every Obama staff appointment.
Guess the other campaigns never appoint anyone to their staffs. Or if they do, the Swamp never mentions it.

Just goes to show how awful the Obama campaign is. They are all in way over their heads. The only thing they are good at rasing money (no shock when it comes to IL pay to play politics). How do you associate yourslef with one of the WORST GOV in the history of the State? THis is the lady that always defends the corrupt Blago. Huge mistake bu Obama's team. Just gave HIlary another reason to believe that she has the nom locked up.

What if?
What if racist people (see above) weren't dirtying up every election process.
What if?
What if? (see above) can be made irrelevant this election
What if?

Hmmm..given Obama's poor recent showing in the polls, why would she do that.
Looks like his campaign will be over shortly, six months max, after Hill/Bill win the requisite primaries.
Maybe explaining the erratic Blago is getting to be just too much of a hassle. Obama will probably need a press aide when he returns to his Senate duties (the ones he hasn't been doing much on lately). Maybe Ms. Becky wants to go to Washington.

Don't listen to the hater's on here people, the Republicans don't have one single viable candidate running for President and this makes them furious:

First Obama supports Todd Stroger for Cook County Board President, now he has Blago directly involved in his campaign?
Looks like he wants to lose his home state.

John E, cite just one example of racist commentary. Just ONE.

This is what Barracks supporters do now. Since their chosen one is getting destroyed in the polls they are resorting to desperate measures. They label anyone who does not support Obama a rascist or a Republican hack. They can not handle the fact that the rest of the country does not view Barrack the same way they do. Sorry guys but if you want to back a winner you better switch over to the Hillary camp.

I keep hearing that Obama is so smart (Harvard Law, yadda yadda) so I'm shocked that he's not smart enough to put as much distance as possible between him and Blagojevich.
In '88 Dukakis's whole shtick was that he's smart and compitent... and then he proceeded to run his campaign stupidly and incompitently.
Looks like Obama's the new Dukakis.

“They can not handle the fact that the rest of the country does not view Barrack the same way they do.”
You are exactly right, not everyone does see Barack (one r) the same way. Thank God! Some of us see the hope and leadership qualities that he possesses and we can accept that hope and those leadership qualities. Some people will not accept Barack Obama, no matter how intelligent he is, no matter how great his oratorical skills are (Doesn’t great oratory equate to great intelligence?) and no matter how much wisdom he demonstrates. That’s okay. When he is President there will be those who don’t like him. That’s okay. But John-John is no longer here, and the mantle has passed to Barack Obama.

You've gotta love the Obama hater's on here (see above) please don't hate them, they don't know any better (red state IQ's), but I do wish they would stop drooling on themselves, C'mon!

THIS CLOWN (see above) CAN'T EVEN MANAGE TO FORM AN OPINION ON WHO HE EVEN "KIND OF" LIKES THAT'S RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT YET HE STILL THINKS HE'S QUALIFIED TO TELL US WHO WE SHOULDN'T VOTE FOR....and he fancies himself a "smart guy", hahahahahohohoahaha!

This is an interesting development. I knew that you believed that everybody who posts anonymously is one person, now you think that "Vinny" is that same person? Who else? How long is that list? Or does it just keep growing?
I can't speak for the other "Anonymous's" you've been obsessed with (or Vinny) but as for fancying myself a "smartguy" -- I've never said that. Off the top of my head, I don't recall anybody else doing so.
But since you've brought it up, of course I'm smarter than you are -- everybody here is smarter than you are. Hell, my Labrador Retriever is smarter than you are.
Oh, and getting back to the beginning, can you document one instance of racism here? No? I didn't think so.

Oh, and John E, remarks like this are REALLY going to win over a lot of people to Obama! Keep it up genius!

Son,
You are either a racist or you have an unhealthy obsession with Barack Obama.
