Tough.

Smart.

The words that Democrats use most to describe Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.)

Energetic, tough, compassionate -- that's what a lot of Republicans call Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York.

Giuliani

Fred Thompson, former senator from Tennessee, scores slightly better than Giuliani on the "down-to-earth'' scale.

Democratic Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois also gets some credit for energy in a new Pew Research Center poll tracking voter impressions of the 2008 presidential candidates.

There's a downside to these rankings of voter impressions, too.

Only 22 percent of the Democrats surveyed consider Clinton "friendly.'' Only 19 percent of the Republicans consider Giuliani "even tempered.'' And only 22-24 percent call either one "honest.''

Obama comes up stronger in the honesty department among Democrats: 32 percent. He also draws 41 percent calling him "optimistic''

For more on these and other candidates, see the Pew poll.

If Giuliani somehow wins the Presidency I'm moving to Costa Rica.

How much compassion did Rudy have for his ex-wife?

Tough. Smart. How about ruthless, criminal, unscrupulous? If she were not so exalted in status, she would have been sent to prison long ago. Hers is a long history of law-breaking, forgetting on the stand, and getting away with murder. That is why the CFR and the power brokers like her. There is not an ounce of decency, respect for others or respect for the Constitution in this woman. Lady Macbeth was a pussycat compared to Hillary; at least lady McB had a sense of remorse; this cold woman has none; she is cold as dry ice. And yet, she will win. She will win because she has vast intelligence (from the "borrowed" FBI files) and is in solid with the CFR, the international finance people, The Tavistock Institute, The Aspen Institute and the Royal Institute for International Affairs. If we were talking about mafia (which we are, in a way) she would be not only a "made guy" she would be a formidable Capo. This used to be a nice country, the U.S.A. People were, for the most part, honest and decent. Now we face a dire future, I regret to say. Hillary voted for the Amnesty Bill, along with many others, so we can expect more illegals in our midst, more Mexican trucks to rumble into the heartland, and, by 2010, a "security" merger with Canada and Mexico. Our nice Republic will be no more. I would say, to counter this evil, supporting Ron Paul would be a step in the right direction; but the "fix" is in. The powerbrokers have gone to lunch; the election of 2008 is over and we have a horrible, heartless woman at the helm.

Whatever drugs you're taking must be the best on the planet for you to post such a delusional, totally inaccurate rant. Can you please give me the name of your dope peddler?

Meanwhile, in the latest Gallup Poll, Clinton wins in a landslide 47% to 25% over St. Barack, with Edwards at 14% and the rest nowhere. On the GOP side, Thompson has drawn even with Giuliani.

Rudy will be our next President; deservingly; as a matter of fate and good fortune for all of us. Rudy is the only Candidate who can win from the Republican side. Basic.
