Depends on what your definition of "intent" is.

'itch McConnell is doing a slow burn out there today.
"I thought we were beyond this!"
In any case, Larry should never have quit. Who cares if he was trying to pick up someone in a toilet. Granted, it's a bit unseeming, but what's the difference between a gay man... er, excuse me, a straight man asking another straight man out on a date? It's no different than a drunk straight man hitting on a woman, is it?
If Larry is forced to quit, he ought to show up with a man in his arm at the RNC next year.

The poor man. I'm beginning to see what is at the root of his problem. He is obviously easily intimidated (first by the cop, then by fellow GOPers).

This guy is a walking, talking nightmare for the family values Republicans.

Larry Craig should make an open challenge to the Republican Leadership. he should announce he will not follow through on his intent to resign and will retain his seat unless Louisiana Senator David Vitter resigns as well.

Sorry..but at this date what has changed about his reasons for resigning in the first place. He said he would not be able to do his job effectively, Whats changed?

He saw how Sen. Vitter (R-LA) survived his hypocrisy of saying that Clinton should have resigned when his BJs from Monica were made public, while Vitter was nailing New Orleans and DC hookers for the past 10 years, and yet refused to take his own advice and step down.
Craig figured, "What's one more Republican hypocrite in Congress? Gotta uphold the Republican 'Family Values' bumper sticker!"

Larry,
Please stay around and fight it. Don't resign. Keep hoping and explaining and holding press conferences to describe your hunt for the real public toilet perv.
It just doesn't get any better than this.
