An Edwards question: Where does he 'live'?: The Swamp

Two quick things to know about how John Edwards' campaign team views news coverage of the Democratic presidential primaries so far: 1) They don't think Edwards has received nearly enough, particularly compared to rivals Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. 2) They haven't liked a lot of the coverage Edwards has received.

For particularly vivid proof of No. 2, check out this memo sent to reporters today by Edwards spokesman Eric Schultz. It seeks to dispell two national storylines that irk the campaign - the "hypocrite" storyline and the "he-has-to-win-Iowa" storyline - with the help of some colorful charts.

"Dearest national media and purveyors of beloved conventional wisdom," it begins.

"You have a difficult and troubling decision in front of you. Where does John Edwards live?

"Does he live in his '28,000 square foot house' (which feeds your illogical and false storyline that he is a hypocrite because he speaks out for the poor and the middle class).

"Or...

"Does he 'virtually live in Iowa' (which feeds your false storyline that he has spent more time and resources there than his Democratic opponents. Not to mention it raises the stakes for us in Iowa, discounting the reality of how hard the other candidates are working there).

"The facts are below, we apologize in advance if they are inconvenient."

Read on for the nifty charts.

You've gotta love the Republickin knuckledraggers, they don't have anything to run on but hate so they attack John Edwards on stuff like haircuts, suits, where he lives...is he wearing his flag pin today? because no one can bomb Iran without their flag pin on, just ask any of the GOoPer's on here, they'll tell ya.

Great to see the liberals bashing the flag pins. Keep shooting yourselves in the feet...and elsewhere. Know how many liberals it takes to screw in a light bulb?
Not enough, because they keep trying to screw it to the left.

Who cares where he lives? It's where he stands that bothers me. On the bright side for the Breck Girl, there may be an opening in Cuba soon that would be a perfect fit.

Edwards has a legitimate gripe. Where was the focus on Darth Cheney during the elections? That scumbag no more lived in Wyoming than I do.

I think he lives in a bubble.... Recent Polls have shown that among the democrats it doesnt matter where he "lives" it matters that he is loosing the support of many.. I think he should up his game like Obama and Hilary are.

Is it bad that 7% of Delaware voters support Edwards? i think is even Worst that only 19% support the Delaware Senator, Biden....

"The facts are below, we apologize in advance if they are inconvenient."

Edwards camp would have been better served to have written: "The TRUTH is below, we apologize in advance if it is inconvenient."

Why does GWB sport a Texas speaking twang, while his other siblings do not?

This media bias in coverage explains why Edwards is behind despite having all of the qualities necessary to be leading: Looks; intelligence, humor, personable, family, wife, name-recognition, likeability, communication skills, ect.

He is vastly under-rated.

From the "man," who spews more hate each and every day than Hitler as his worst:

I'll predict this, though, BC, will, ahhhh, forget it!!

I'd like to see a breakdown of those days, according to the Edwards campaign. Because Democracy in Action, has a detailed account of Edwards, Clinton and Obama's visits to the Hawkeye state which paint a much different picture.

Days Spent in Iowa, according to Democracy in Action:

Clinton: 35
Obama: 48
Edwards: 70

I apologize if these facts are inconvenient.

This is the guy who kicked off his campaign in New Orleans to show there were two Americas. The hedge fund he worked for and invested in foreclosed on 34 homes in New Orleans. Maybe there are two John Edwards the one who cares for the poor and the one who doesn't. Sort it out Iowa you vote first. Jerry White, Springfield, IL

Just like you keep conveniently "forgetting" to PROVIDE PROOF to back up you false allegation that Edwards pays as much for his suits as Bush does?

Tell me, John "the Joseph Stalin of Streamwood" D - why aren't you MAN ENOUGH to admit that you got caught trying to pass off your opinion as fact? Or is that just the Republican way?

Put up or shut up.

I hate to break it to you Jerry, but John Edwards lives in the real world where we all invest in things we may not approve of and find out after the fact. This does not make you a hypocrite.

Secondly, you fail to mention the fact that John Edwards opened a fund for those families to help them keep their homes. Where is that fact in your rant?

There is only one John Edwards, someone who tries to do the right thing all the time.

John Edwards continues to embarrass himself and, by association, his staff members and his wife.

He has no idea how to run an effective campaign.
