President Bush is meeting with his economic advisers this afternoon.

The Federal Trade Commission is starting a two-day public meeting about the debt collection industry and how it affects both consumers and businesses.

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is holding a conference on "China's Olympian Challenge" and whether Beijing can produce a successful Summer Games in 2008.

The Food Research and Action Center is releasing a report that ranks 24 cities on how many people are eligible for food stamps and how many actually participate in the program.

The Evangelical Climate Initiative is releasing a poll showing that evangelicals support efforts by the federal government to control the effects of climate change.

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is awarding its 10th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to Billy Crystal.
