The Senate Judiciary Committee is starting its confirmation hearing for Attorney General-designate Michael Mukasey.
The House Investigations and Oversight Subcommittee is holding a hearing on global warming and the polar bear population.
The Club for Growth is holding its fall conference with several of the GOP presidential contenders scheduled to speak.
