The deal is dead. Senator Dodd just placed a 'Hold' on this bill. No amnesty for the telecons.

Thank goodness for Senator Dodds, who'll actually stand up for our rights and the Constitution! If only the rest of the government would do the same.

While watching Washington Journal this morning, a college professor phoned in and told of how damaging this wire tapping has been to him. Even though he does not think he even knows anyone in an Al Qaeda group let alone a Muslim, he was wire tapped and he is living a nightmare trying to clear his name. Whomever helps to make innocent peoples live miserable because of this illegal activity, should be held accountable.

Finally, someone is turning the 60 vote BS against the filibuster happy Republicans. It will take 60 votes to overturn a hold. I just hope this isn't a temporary political stunt on Dodd's part. Time will tell.
