From what we've seen that happened to Vicks dog "Jane" the one who won him and his thugs money...This is a win!! I hope they all go to good homes and the media lets us all know how all of them are doing.
Now for "Jane" she apparently bit off 2 digits of the finger of whoever killed her...Lets keep our eyes open for this person!! We know it wasn't Vick's finger, as he has flipped off the American people!! I am sure he was at the killing, so look to his thugs and see who is missing 2 digits of a finger....as its in Janes stomach....How these guys can fight dogs is beyond anyone, then go and kill a winning dog is even worse...at least they should have taken care of the dog who apparently was giving these thugs some kind of income..

Hopefully these dogs will end up in a home with someone that can truly understand the breed and what they have gone thru, and give them the loving home they so desperately need. I have two beautiful Bullys at home, one of them was a rescue from the same type of life that these dogs had, and she is so loving that I cannot imagine what would have happened to her had she not been rescued. She still has physical damage to her nose, and she was just eight weeks old when she was rescued. She is now nine months old, and she is the cutest, spunkiest little sweetie, she drives us crazy, but we absolutely love her. As does my big male, Boo. He is eight years old and she has given him back his youth. They are inseparable, and life for them is good.
At the very least, these less than human thugs that abuse these dogs should suffer the same fate as the dogs they abuse, and if there is anything left of them, treat them as they would treat the losing dog. No mercy for them. If I sound a bit angry, it's because I am.....I just could not imagine either one of my Bullys being treated like that. And so many dogs that have been thru that cannot be adopted out, they are so damaged physically as well as mentally that they can't adapt to anything or anyone. I hope MV's dogs do well......that would be the ultimate, knowing that they are living the good life while he sits in prison(hopefully)and that he can no longer make one damn dime off of them.

What an incredibly beautiful thing that these tortured dogs may know some kindness in their lives. Vick and those sicko 'friends' of his who tortured these dogs should get the chair if society had any justice. How could any society want them? I just don't understand the support they havce gotten when what they've done is beyond 'human'. Are they and those who support them even 'human'?

I agree totally with the comment made that Vick should be responsible financially to those dogs to live out a life of luxury. Whether it be with a foster family, or if they need to live in seclusion, and he should have to supply the means for ALL of the dogs to live out their natural lives.

Who cares!!! They are dogs! We spend too much time and money on this issue. Get the dogs cleaned and adopted. Let's move on.

People who torture and maim animals for entertainment often tend to cause serious harm to other human beings. The people who engage in or support this "sport" are often dangerous to human society. They're psychopaths, they lack a normal sense of empathy.

My MY so much hatred. I am glad that the dogs are getting a chance at a second life. I am very very sad that Mr Vick was tried by the HSUS and PeTA convicted in the court of public opinion and sentenced to exile.
You know there are laws in this country against vigilante law and that my friends is exactly what this was.
A law was passed with the help of HSUS and they needed a high profile case to "test it". They found it in a case of drug dealers who were willing to say whatever it took to get out of trouble. What TRUE proof do they have? None that I have seen. Rumor has it there was a video, I can make a video of a UFO if I so choose. I can truly make myself and the president of the US dance in a video if I wish.
Oh, you say there was a confession?? Well, when one is threatened with 20 years and not being able to see your son grow up I too would plead to what ever they wished me to.
Has anyone noticed that it appears that folks of color are being singled out and "convicted" at a much higher rate than anyone else?
How about people of color that are the first to have their dogs taken when a breed specific law goes into place? Again this is the animal rights working at its best. In Denver CO where they do have a ban against "pit bulls" over 80% of the dogs that have been taken and killed were from people of color.
How about we look at the shelters of America and the abuse that happens there. In KY there is a group of APBTs that are in a shelter in Taylor county that are allowed to kill each other, that are being allowed to injure themselves and have open sores that are infected, and puppies that are dead because the shelter has parvo in it? These dogs are the evidence in an abuse case and came in in better shape then they are in now.
This is the kind of abuse that not only will never be reported but will also never be stopped.

The fact that some people (and I don't care if they are liberal, conservative, loony left or right wingnut) cannot see how sick, demented and cruel dogfighting or even cockfighting is just boggles my mind. If people cannot even treat an animal with any decency or humanity, more than likely they will exhibit that same behavior to humans. Cruel, inhumane treatment is bad, no matter what or whom the recipient.
And Loons, before I hear about torturing terrorists, that is a completely different apple.

John D, dog racing is worse than dog fighting. Dog racing hurts and kills a far greater number of dogs than dog fighting does and it's LEGAL and often state sponsered - tax dollars prop it up. Racing dogs are sometimes killed in the same ways Vick killed his dogs - where is the outrage for that? Racing dogs are also sold to research labs for further torture when their careers are over. And through all the abuse and starvation, greyhounds are extremely gentle dogs - they don't need to be "rehabilitated" before being adopted into homes with children and other animals. They are not known for killing people and other pets. Pit bulls have a bad enough reputation, to start adopting out former fighting dogs is only going to make the situation worse in terms of statistics and of people not trusting them or wanting them around. I feel bad for the dogs in question because it is not their fault they were created for fighting, but they have no place in society, especially when shelters are already overflowing with (and euthanizing) pit bulls never used for fighting.

I think it hurts the cause of animal advocates when they stoop to their own level of inhumanity by calling for the brutal abuse of a human being. If we care enough to rehabilate wayward animals, can we not offer the same compassion to human beings. Make the punishment fit the crime. I agree that Vick should have to pay for the care of the dogs. I think Vick and his cohorts should have to volunteer to work at public animal shelters and do grunt work of cleaning dog pens and changing out kitty litter to start with ... this should go on along with counseling until there is change of heart. Vick's pubic apology did indicate a change of heart about animals.

I think it's sad that PETA used Mike Vick for their own personal agenda. He's lost almost everything in this episode and on top of that will spend some years in jail. Vick haters, keep in mind the symbol of the law - the blindfolded lady of justice. Everyone has a right to a fair trial. Just as a poor man should be able to get good representation, a high profile person cannot be subjected to a different standard just so that he can be made to be "an example of". As a human being, I empathise with Mike because it may seem to him that now his life is really shattered. I hope that just like many if us who have been through rough times, he will get up again and move on to a new phase in his life.

I don't know if the editor's of The Swamp made the error or I mistyped but the last sentence of my entry above should read: Vick's public apology did NOT indicate a change of heart about animals. You know what, I don't agree with what Vick did, but is is funny as hell that everyone is still putting so much into hating Micheal Vick as a person and not focusing on the act. No what he did wasn't ok. Now that he is serving time for what he did, LET IT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, The dogs are fine and ok. I'm tired of hearing all of the pity mess from adults over this. How about focusing on what is going on in are country and with the war, or better yet, focus on all the racism that is going on with the Jena 6 Case. Grow the HELL up and focus on what really matters.

Let it go? Ofcourse, animal advocates are not going to let it go. Why should they? High profile cases help bring attention to the cause. Everybody doesn't have the same passion. Everybody doesn't have the same good cause. There are enough good causes to go around.
