Iowa Obama supporters call for Clinton documents

Don't you understand? The Clintons cannot release her papers for fear of what will come out. Don't forget, she barely escaped the Grand Jury. Is her testimony which was alleged to have included lies somewhere in those files? Will her papers reveal her role in the secret FBI files, the Whitewater land fraud, or the Travel Office firings? All potentially explosive issues in a campaign. Don't hold your breath, it isn't going to happen.

It's sickening how some democrats insist on drudging up the past and launching false attacks against other democrats. This significantly lowers the chances of winning in 2008.

Tell us your ideas. If they're better, we'll vote for you.

Hillary's track record in terms of what she's delivered and accomplished is there for all to see and judge for themselves. A request to review private communications between her and the president is completely out of bounds.

Dont YOU understand? The Clinton's are not in charge of the laws that govern the release of governmental papers. President Clinton sent a letter to the Archives 5 YEARS AGO requesting them to speed up the process. (This same letter was missrepresented by Tim Russert at a Dem Debate as a recent letter asking to delay the records- he apparently doesn't read.)
Over 1 million pages have been released. They can not release any faster than laws permit due to security issues that need to be netted before available to the world (that includes enemies).

She can't let these records become public as they will confirm that she is a habitual liar and a fraud. She was involved with purgery with grand jury, lying to the Senate, obstructing justice and all the rest. Would this be an ideal candidate for President? I think not! Therefore she cannot allow these records to be public.

Name one president that released their presidential papers early. Does anyone really think you will find out anything about Hillary that hasn't already been made public and made public and made public (over and over and over again)?

Once again the Clinton camp and her supporters are trying to obfuscate the issue at hand. This is all par for the course. When will Hillary answer a question with an answer and not just some politically spun non-answer? When Hillary ran against Rick Lazio for the Senate, time and time again, she denied to the press that she had any Presidential ambition whatsoever. As a NY voter I am sick of this intentional deception. With my vote, and hopefully those of thousands of regular New Yorkers like myself, we shall not allow her to use us as the stepping stones for her previously hidden agenda.

I have no idea why Hillary's papers as first lady have been held up. I really do not care. She initially made her way into the senate because her husband cheated on her, and the people of NY did not care that she was a carpetbagger. Hillary's vote for the invasion (without reading all the intel reports herself), her votes to continue funding the invasion/Iraqi civil war--instead of funding to bring the troops home--and her vote scolding Iran make me think that she and fake-party Lieberman are joined at the hip for Cheney/Bush--both as Repubs in Dem clothing. If you are unhappy with the chimp in office now--don't vote for Clinton. I'm observing secrecy and evasiveness in Hillary. I don't like actors who presume they are playing to a dumb--or unsophisticated house. No need for another 4-8 years of teeth gnashing. I do not want Clinton OR Obama. I think Edwards would be the best one. Biden makes sense, too.

DIGGING UP DIRT. If there is any dirt in the Bill/Hillary White House papers it is better to get it all out now before the primaries. After that, if Hillary/Bill gets the nomination you haven't seen dredging up the past & the Republicans will let it all fly. For example try this for starters:

Albeit the Clintons were hounded by the likes of Ken "hit man" Starr, but the fact remains the Bill/Hillary years in the White House had this country reeling. In the words of somebody "The Past is Prologue." and he who does not remember the past is doomed to repeat it. I think if Richard Wagner or Hector Berlioz were alive they would write an opera about the Clintons, a long, loud, unending opera.

Easy for voters: No papers, no caucus support.

We know how Bill kept on lying about the Monica scandel initially until the DNA results came out. If Hillary has anything in favor of her accomplishments in those papers, they would be public records by now. Hillary and Bill know their campaign is over once the papers are out. They claim it is not in their hands. For God's sake they are in the Clinton Library. Who has the keys to the library? It is Bill and Hillary Clinton. Who can release them. Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The only reason that people asked Hillary to release her First Lady record is that she is running for president using her First Lady experience and this experie that can not be verified by public eyes. I would not ask Laura Bush to do the same because she does not use her 8 years' First Lady experience to run for a public office.

It is Hillary Clinton who has made her "experience" in the White House a selling point for her election. Are we not entiltled to read the fine print before we make the purchase?

Well, of course they'll release the information. Just as soon as it's approved by Bill Clinton. Sounds a lot like those selective emails that this administration let out while thousands of potentially damning emails seem to have vanished.

Give me a break. President Clinton could help the process along if he wanted to. He has no reason to. He told the archives to speed up the process 5 years ago? What's he done now that his wife is running for president and is using those archives as a partial resume?

In the meantime Hillary makes huge claims about her extensive experience while she was in the White House. How terribly convenient she'll never have to show any documented proof to back up those claims. It's right in keeping with her refusal to disclose her earmarks and the very interesting claim she made at the debate that 'you shouln't always tell people what you're thinking'.

Sorry. Enough secrecy in government. Enough smoke-and-mirrors politics.

Folks, I'm an Edwards supporter, but i don't see this as a bad thing for Hillary. While she's not my 1st choice as our nominee, it's best that any remaining crap come out now. Never forget that the fascist party will stoop to new lows against whomever our nominee might be. If Hilary can combat the latest set of smears, what is left?

Those who dismiss Hillary's White House years as irrelevant are forgetting how long she stayed in political training wheels after being unable to get national health insurance (and ruining its chances for much time to come). She was no moral leader, as she showed a Bushesque capacity to stonewall under investigation. She took a public role as a great female victim. What sort of role model has the political chutpah to ride the adulterer's coat tails to power, and even use him as a spokesman. No doubt embarrassed, their smart daughter stays out of the limelight. I see you ran out of ideas and slogans ("change")so you decided to go with Hillary's "turn the page" and make it your own. It is essentially a different way of saying the same thing but I noticed how your marketing skills are attuned to what sounds best and not what is best. You picked that up real quick. No need to ask Hillary to expedite a process she does not control. As Wonder Child do that with those magical powers.

Lastly, I know it does bite that Hillary's "experience" is locked away, but it is only fair that if it's okay to take you on what you would have done, it is okay to take Hillary on what she says she will do without anything to back both of you up.

He calls for Clinton to release her documents yet when asked to release his from his time as an IL Senator he refuses because he knows those records show appointments w/ lobbyists, policy memos, and meetings. Also he refuses to list any names of people "bundling" over $200,000 to his campaign. He also has a LONG record of skipping controversial votes in both US and Il Senate and then having the nerve to chastize people for voting one way or the other when he refuses to vote at all. THis guy is a joke and outside Cook County you cant get away with this do as I say not as I do garbage. Obama is a fraud. Hillary will be the nom.

Interestingly, the New ork Times' Jeff Zeleny, an ex-Tribune reporter, wrote a recent article about how Obama's campaign isn't disclosing information:

"In his third-quarter financial report filed this week with the Federal Election Commission, Senator Barack Obama did not provide a full accounting for where his campaign had spent money on travel, catering or a variety of other expenses.

The report filed late Monday shows dozens of payments to credit card companies that were not accompanied by a specific explanation of what the money was spent on. As much as $1.2 million in credit card charges in July, August and September did not contain detailed information of hotels, airfare and campaign expenditures."

Why the presumption that they're dredging for dirt? Maybe the Clintonistas have conveniently overlooked Russert's entirely legitimate question at the recent debate when he asked HRC to name some of the key decisions other than the health care debacle that she participated in during Clinton I and II. She stonewalled him.

We've heard about her 'experience' till we're blue in the face, and we've yet to have concrete examples. Based on the public record, she's a 2d term Senator with a small edge on Barack in tenure, and the legislation that she's prominently associated with (Iraq 2003, Kyl-Lieberman 2007) has a bad smell to it.

It's time for her to stop blowing smoke at voters. Forget Whitewater, billing records, Monica and the Marc Rich pardon. Let's see what the record says about her 'experience' during the 1990s, other than presiding at visits by foreign dignitaries.
