DES MOINES -- Just hours after announcing that Oprah Winfrey will appear on the campaign trail with him, Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign announced that it has formed "Women for Obama" leadership committees in more early primary and caucus states.
On Wednesday, the campaign said, hundreds of women in several Feb. 5 states will gather for events to kick off their organizing efforts. Michelle Obama will also lead a conference call and give a campaign update on the state of the national race for participating women.
Since the launch of Women for Obama in April, the group has focused on fundraising and grassroots/online organizing.
"The state-by-state committees in key February 5th states will join similar structures in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina set up to lead a national grassroots network of 20,000 women who are organizing on behalf of Barack Obama," the campaign said. "February 5th state WFO launches and organizing events will include: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, Minnesota and New Jersey."
The Tribune looked at the efforts of the Obama and other candidates in Feb. 5 states in Monday's edition. The story is linked here.

Looks like the December Rush is ON!
I just read that Sen. Trent Lott is going to resign. He must smell a Democratic sweep next November and has decided to head for the hills - or maybe State Farm's board of directors.

I wonder who Oral Roberts' son will endorse? Rudy, Mitt? It's good to see these righteous right leaders get thier share of the contributions for thier own use.

I feel the momentum swinging towards Obama. HE will win Iowa and New Hampshire. People want change.

I hope you are right Marko because the other option is Hillary.
If I had my way it would be Obama vs. Huckabee. Fat chance though, huh?

There is nothing in Obama's record that suggests he's presidential timber. There's nothing that suggests that he'd be a "change". Unless greed and graft count?
However, if Oprah is behind him then we know he's the best choice.

Now it seems like that rumor in the London Times today about Hillary and her female assistant might be another Clinton plant to get her the female vote and to counter Obama's efforts. For sure, he can't compete with that type of innuendo.

This kind of routine minor announcement by the Obama campaign only interests Obama's campaign publicists who write for the Swamp.

Obama has the Credentials to be president and then Some!
Barack Obama has 8 years experience as a state senator in Illinois. He was a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago for 5 years. He has taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago for 10 years.
He graduated from 2 of the top ten schools in America -- Columbia and Harvard. He was president of the Havard Law Review and graduated at the top of his class at Columbia Unviversity and at Harvard.
He has written books that have sold in the millions and he did all those things with out being born to rich parents! Go Barack!
He was also a civil rights lawyer as well. Plus he has successfully passed legislation in illinois for people to get health insurance and he helped pass important death penalty laws. Obama is the real deal!! Vote Obama!
He has wide spread support from women, men, young, old, all races, republicans, independents and democrats! He is a unity and on a mission for change!
Hillary has served 6 complete years in the US senate. Oops, that's all. Oh and she worked as a lawyer for a few years when her husband was governor of Arkansas. Whoopie! That's it. That's her documented experience.
She claims experience as a first lady counts -- but I do not agree with that, plus she will not let Americans see her records from when she was first lady -- go figure.
She does not unite and represents the past.
