WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- This morning's conference call was about a Minnesota congresswoman's endorsement, but Sen. Barack Obama's campaign manager used it to continue to make the case for what he believes is superior "Tsunami Tuesday" preparedness.
Campaign manager David Plouffe said Obama now has offices in 17 of the 22 states expected to hold primaries or caucuses on Feb. 5. (That is three additional states than the total reported in a recent Tribune story about preparations for the delegate-rich contests that will take place that day.)
"We are the most aggressive campaign to date in making sure we win on Feb. 5," he said, adding that the campaign of Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York has offices in "maybe four."
Especially in states like Minnesota that will hold caucuses on that date, Plouffe maintained that early organizational efforts to make contact with voters are essential.
"We have real voter contact going on every day," he said. "You do have to get started months before that contest."
Citing new polls, Plouffe also gave an optimistic assessment of the state of the race in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. "We think we could not be in a stronger position three weeks out from the Iowa caucuses," he said.
The conference call also formally announced an endorsement from Minnesota's Rep. Betty McCollum, the third female member of Congress in as many days to endorse the Illinois Democrat. Two other Democratic congresswomen endorsed Obama earlier this week: Barbara Lee of California and Carol Shea-Porter of New Hampshire.

Hey,
I'm Eric from United Hollywood. Last Friday we put out a call to action to help end the hypocrisy of Chris Lehane being a union buster. We're happy to report people are taking this seriously and Lehane has now been terminated from two more labor unions in support of the WGA. Thanks. Eric Abrams

I'd be curious to know how much Hopefund PAC money went to these individuals.

I predict that Barack Obama is going to win the nomination and then he will win in the general election.
Just remember that you read it here first and from me.
President Barack Obama!

I want to be second along with Susan Adams from NH, in predicting it's all over and OBAMA's is going to win it all. Finally, Dr. King's dream will be realized in America.

"I HAVE A DREAM TOO"
TIME IS ON OURSIDE, YES IT IS.
BUT MEANWHILE CHERTOF SPEAKS. HILLARY HEARD HIM BUT NOT OBAMA. THE BLACK VOTE HAS BEEN CAGED FROM HERE TO IRAQ. THERE ISN'T A BLACK VOTE IN AMERICA THAT PROBABLY COULDN'T BE TRACED IN THE LAST TWO ELECTIONS.
THE BLACK VOTE IS A PROVISIONAL BALLOT VOTE, ONE THAT IS UNDER LOCK AND KEY, AND ONLY A U.S. ATTORNEY HAS THE ABILITY TO ENSURE IT'S COUNTING.
WELL THAT WAS CAGED BY OUR JUSTICE DEPARTMENT, AND IT'S UNDER CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS AND WE CAN'T GET ANYONE TO SHOW UP FOR THAT, BUT YOU SEE THEM ON TELEVISION TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK! MY DADDY THIS, MY DADDY THAT, THEN I LEARNED ENGLISH, AND WELL, F WORD WAS MY FAVORITE LETTER.
SO GET THE ENDORSEMENT OF YOUR COLLEAGUES WHO ARE ATTEMPTING TO EARN THEIR KEEP ONCE IN THE PAST 7 YEARS.
THINK OVERSIGHT OBAMA, AND YOU MIGHT GET SOME OF THAT "organization churn" in the Senate towards yo WAY!
ONLY BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WILL READ THIS (sorry).

THIS GUY NEVER TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING...MOVE ON! VOTE FOR ANYONE ELSE!
"Barack Obama continues his hard-edged, negative campaign - against his own staff. Passing blame down to anonymous staff ranks has become something of a tic for Obama. Obama pointed the finger at unidentified campaign schedulers when he had to address a New Hampshire firefighters union by telephone, instead of meeting with them in person. Obama told the gathering. "My staff had scheduled things and “they” couldn't wiggle out if it. And after media attention turned to the "Hillary Clinton Obama's campaign was producing bogus research memos/statements about Clinton's such as lies about having ties to the Indian-American community, Obama called the "unnecessarily caustic" document a "dumb mistake on our campaign's part" HE STARTED THE LIES AND NEGATIVE POLITICS…A former cocaine junkie and muslim. WE DO NOT WANT THIS GUY LEADING OUR GREAT COUNTRY; MAYBE LEAD HARPO PRODUCTIONS, SINCE HES OPRAHS DREAM…

joi, do you just makeup stuff to make yourself feel better about who you are. How can you say that Obama is the one running the negative campaign and blaming his advisors. Did you skip over the parts of the news that Clinton in the past few weeks has fired (blamed) three of her advisors because they have spread lies ("Fun Part") about Obama. I'm sorry to say, but Jan 3rd and Feb 5th are going to be sad days for you my friend.
Clinton could make a good President, but Obama will be one of the GREAT President
Obama is taking it all the way, and we will all be better for it. I think the world will begin to love America again. In a few years from now you will look back and say actually I'm so happy that Obama is our President
