Who's big enough for the presidency at this moment in the nation's history? is the question Sen. Hillary Clinton wants voters in Iowa and New Hampshire to ask. Of course, she wants her name to be the answer.

In the 30-second ad called "Stakes," that is set to go up in the two earliest voting states tomorrow, the ad makers show a series of scenes meant to get voters to that answer.

There's the image of a soldier's helmet, a house with a foreclosure sign, the national debt clock and an infant receiving a physical examination as well as an image of Clinton in profile looking the way she would on a coin and another of her supporters with signs like "Ready for Change."

The on-screen text accompanying the images reads:

"A nation at war. Troubles at home. A nation at a crossroads. Demands a leader. With a steady hand. Who will weather the storms. Solve our problems. Rebuild our middle class. And renew our greatness." (Punctuation added.)

For Clinton, the ad's a no-brainer. Repeated surveys have found that surveyed voters perceive her the most prepared Democratic candidate. The ad seeks to reinforce that sentiment, and to imply that going with either of the other top-tier candidates, John Edwards and especially Sen. Barack Obama, when the "stakes" are so high, is too big a risk.

Steady hand, as in never taking a position on anything. That's the kind of leadership America needs.

I think this is a great closing ad. It covers it all.

I think we all know Bill likes a steady hand!

Another BIG Accomplishment for GWB.

NEW YORK - U.S. home prices fell in October for the 10th consecutive month, posting their largest drop since early 1991, according to a key index released Wednesday.

Bruce,does this effect "Average" Rethugs?

Sometimes you have to take a few risks in order to succeed. A risk for any other Democrat besides Hillary/Bill is worth taking. All the ads her campaign puts out there cannot alter that fact. End of story.

Go Hillary. You are strong and ready to lead.

Voting for Obama is a reckless risk to take. Voting for Richardson would be an informed risk worth taking to succeed - not just some times but definitely this time.

Moderation, balance, and discretion have been mislabeled as parsing or not making a stand. Sometimes, hate can cloud a person's sensibilities and render other people unsteady.

Republicans hope Hillary gets the nomination, she'd be easier to beat than Obama, because Obama is a relative unknown, whereas, the Bill and Hill Show is well known, and Rudy would have a ball talking about it.

Rudy has a really fine intellect, thinks quick on his feet, and has a resumee par excellence, so he is the Democrats' worst nightmare.

Steady hand? Not according to her Secret Service and Arkansas State Trooper bodyguards who reported about her
vocal and profane denigration of them.
The word that best describes Hillary is "volatile."
