Manchester, N.H. – Not surprisingly, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani's doctor says all is well with the Republican presidential candidate.
Last week, Giuliani was en route to New York when his plane turned around and returned to St. Louis. Giuliani was rushed to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where he spent the night.
Giuliani campaign officials said the former mayor was suffering from "flu-like" symptoms. But Giuliani seemed to contradict them on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."
"It was a terrible headache," Giuliani told Steanopoulos. "All day, got worse all day, got really bad at night when I was speaking to the crowd and did a press conference for Senator Bond, got on the plane. I imagine what happened is the pressure of the takeoff made the headache worse I've ever had."
In a statement, Dr. Valentin Fuster, Giuliani's personal physician, backed up the staff's description, saying Giuliani's "significant headache and fatigue" could be described as flu-like.
"As Mr. Giuliani's personal physician, I stayed in contact with the doctors at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis throughout the course of the evening. Because of the significant headache, it was important to have as much information as possible and err on the side of caution," the statement from Fuster said.
"Mr. Giuliani underwent the following tests at Barnes-Jewish Hospital: CT-MRI of the brain, ultrasound of the carotid arteries, and spinal fluid evaluation. These tests all came back normal," he continued.
"Furthermore, a PSA taken within the past month was negligible or undetectable, and routine laboratory tests were normal," said Fuster, referring to a test used to check and see whether Giuliani's prostate cancer had come back.
"Upon returning to New York City, Mr. Giuliani came to me for an examination and a further test, a transesophageal echocardiogram, which was normal. I confirmed there was no change in his health status," he said, noting that he did not prescribe any medicine and told the former mayor to lighten his schedule for a few days.
Giuliani's campaign did not make his doctor available for questions.

Everyone, it seems, is talking politics. I might as well get into the act, perhaps spurring some thoughtful discussion before presidential primary ballots are cast. Any readers with connections to campaigns that could forward these questions, go for it!
Questions from a long-time homelessness activist:
What are your thoughts on the current issue of expanding HUD's definition of homelessness, and thereby their mission, to include families and teens on their own?
What will your approach be to ensure safe, decent, affordable housing for everyone?
What steps would you have the federal government take to avoid a repeat, or continuation, of the subprime debacle?
What do you think should be done for families who are in severe financial crisis and at risk of homelessness because of this mess?
How would you guide this nation's approach to easing and eradicating homelessness?
What has your personal experience been with homelessness--e.g., contact with homeless children/adults, someone you know has experienced homelessness, shelter volunteer, etc.?
What is your assessment of this nation's homelessness--causes and solutions?
What steps would you take to establish a federal commitment to truly end the nightmare of homelessness?
What would you say to homeless adults, children and teens about their predictament and your commitment to ease it?
How would you explain the extreme differences between those who have extraordinarily extravagant housing and those who have none?
These are serious questions posed to serious candidates. IHK would love to share space with candidates and to invite homeless adults, teens and children to share their views. Have at it!
Seems to me that it's way past time to figure out basics in this interminable campaign--basics that matter to a growing category of people in cities, towns and rural areas across the nation. Instead of artificial standards that really don't measure the candidates' ability to improve this country, let's use some authentic gauges to enhance quality of life across the land.

Rudy Giu911iani is folding like a lawnchair and he's looking for an excuse to drop out of the race before he loses just like he did when he got his butt kicked by Hillary in his bid for a Senate seat.
Rudy Giuliani is asked about the report that Judith Regan was asked by News Corp (which owns Fox News Channel) executives to lie to federal investigators about her affair with Rudy's criminal friend Bernie Kerik in order to protect Rudy's presidential aspirations.

I see nothing has changed. The most worthless garbage in history -- the Loony Left -- keeps spewing their crap over and over. The Left: just as smelly and rotten as last week's garbage.

It'll be Hillary vs. Rudy in Nov. '08, and because Hillary can't decide whether or not she wants to give drivers' licenses to illegal aliens, Rudy will win, about 55% to 43%, because 80% of Americans want strong measures taken against illegal immigration.
