Manchester, N.H. - Already buoyed by key newspaper endorsements, Sen. John McCain will get the backing Monday of Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut Democrat turned independent, sources confirmed.
The pair will appear on NBC's Today show Monday morning, and then Lieberman will talk to voters at a town hall meeting in Hillsborough about why he's supporting McCain.
Lieberman and McCain are longtime friends and allies when it comes to the war in Iraq. Lieberman was the 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee, but he later broke with his party over his staunch support for the war.
Today, McCain was endorsed by The Boston Globe, The Des Moines Register and the Portsmouth Herald. He was previously endorsed by the conservative Union Leader of Manchester

One has been never was loser deserves another. This endorsement has probably been in the bag for months. I am guessing the ultra-crazy neocon vote is still going to Rudy Gi9u11iani, though.
This picture off John McCrazy says it all:

The News gets better for a straight talking leader. John McCain will have more Democrats - like the three voters in my house - joining Joe Lieberman.

Now, if he'd only become a republican in name, we could really have some fun in the senate.

Who cares.

Good Ol' Joe. An endorsement for change, I'm sure. Two old war hawks staying engaged. That's really sweet. For sure, thousands of voters will be touched.

When they have their press conference they should place a flag from Israel in the background.
That is the connection. Ray

In the above article DNC Swamp reporter Jill Zuckman decided to label the Manchester Union Leader "conservative", but not give ANY political label, let alone the label "liberal", to the Boston Globe.
The world of the DNC Swamp...

That Lieberman never became the vice-president is the only good thing you can say about the Bush administration.

Its amazing the sarcasim that comes from the Dems mouths.Sen Joel Lieberman is an outstanding statesman. Another statesman that you people liked to jump on was Sen. Zell Miller. As for Sen, John McCain another statesman and war hero.Nothing seems to satisfy you people but turmoil. That why your numbers are so low, and getting lower by the day.

Not too sure that this will help McCain in the primaries. It would in the general election, if McCain were to get the GOP nomination, but I don't see that happening.
Anyway, Paul, you are correct in that the Left is spiraling down to another defeat. They've been losing congressional races, the Washington Post is writing about all the infighting in the Democratic Congress (something you won't get from the bought-and-paid-for by the DNC LIBune "reporters"), The Democratic party has muffed its year in charge of Congress all because of their need to kowtow to the Loony Left fringes of their party.
Thanks, Loons, as each day passes, you are helping the GOP win in 08!!

The war in Iraq was and still is a mistake. It was mishandled from the start and is still being mishandled.
These two do and always have supported the war in Iraq.
They are mistaken.

John D. still wears his rose colored glasses. Things are great in Iraq and the republican party....Boooyaaa!

Johnny D:
Keep living in your delusional world - the GOP is just as disorganized, or even more so than the Democrats. The GOP is telling people that are running for Congress that they will have to spend THEIR OWN money to run - they don't have any to give to them.
And with "independents" around like Joe Lieberman, how could the Dems pass anything?
Paul Jaegar:
As a resident of Geogia, Zell Miller is a bigger embarrasment to this state than any other of our politicians. He became a DINO once Georgie got into office. The state of Georgia, as well as this country, are better off without him in the Senate.

I can never quite decide who is crazier RNC Bruce a.k.a. the crybaby, or John D. The GOP is in for a major league butt whooping in 2008!

Here is another prediction made by our "expert."
want you leftists to keep talking about equal rights for head-chopping, plane-flying-into congested building terrorists. The more you Leftists keep talking about treating terrorists better than anyone's pet dog, the better the chances that the GOP will do much better this November.Posted by: John D | September 28, 2006 1:22 PM
Channeling our Guru, Bruce. If an "expert" wrongly predicted the first time around, how can the Swamp readers trust his prediction the second time around?

Never mind the loony John D. He'd bet on a one legged man in an a%s kicking contest. Democrats in 2008!
