Sen. John McCain issued the following statement on the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, the Pakistani opposition leader and that nation's former prime minister:
“I was deeply saddened today to learn about the death of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto. My deepest condolences go out to the family and supporters of this remarkable woman, an individual who paid the ultimate price for her embrace of moderation and rejection of extremism.
“The death of Benazir Bhutto underscores yet again the grave dangers we face in the world today and particularly in countries like Pakistan, where the forces of moderation are arrayed in a fierce battle against those who embrace violent Islamic extremism.
“Given Pakistan's strategic location, the international terrorist groups that operate from its soil, and its nuclear arsenal, the future of that country has deep implications for the security of the United States and its allies. America must stand on the right side of this ongoing struggle.
“In my numerous visits to Pakistan - to Islamabad, to Peshawar, even to the tribal areas of Waziristan - I have seen first hand the many challenges that face the political leadership there, challenges so graphically portrayed by today's tragedy. There are, in Pakistan, brave individuals who seek to lead their country away from extremism and instability and into the light of a better day. America, I believe, must do all we can to support them.”

Me and a friend was talking about this only yesterday and I said I had a "Feeling" this was going to happen. Wierd these "Fellings" I have seems to come true like looking into "A crystal Ball". I only wish I had some explanation, it really scares me sometimes.

Yeah Big John McCain, maybe if you had used your considerable military expertise and foreign affairs prowess to lobby against your great President Bush diverting attention from Afghanistan to go on a messianic crusade in Iraq, the pressure on Pakistan would not have been what it has become. But no, in your know it all way you enabled Bush to do what he did, applauded the Iraq invasion. Now you want to tell us that you have what it takes to lead this country. You are as bad as your colleague Hillary/Bill in the exercise of seriously flawed judgment.

Are Johnny "Nutcase" McCain and Mitty "I hid in France during Nam" advocating we invade Pakistan?
Or, are they just using Bhutto's assassination to whip up fear amongst the wing nut base?
It's probably the latter, so why don't they leave that to the professionals,Faux News.

Was the fate of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto inevitable given the instability of Pakistan?

Wow, big surprise here, it's been only a couple hours since Bhutto's death and already one of the Rethuglicans (John McCrazy) are fear-mongering over it.
