Manchester, N.H. – Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is eating away at former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's lead in the New Hampshire primary while former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has steadily lost support among likely Republican primary voters here, according to a new Boston Globe poll.
The poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, shows McCain making a strong comeback since his collapse over the summer with staff turmoil and financial problems. Romney, on the other hand, is losing support here after dominating the state with a double-digit lead for months.
Among likely Republican primary voters, Romney is in first place with 28 percent support, compared to 25 percent for McCain and just 14 percent for Giuliani. But the poll shows there is still a great deal of fluidity in the race with 43 percent of likely GOP primary voters saying they have no idea who they are going to vote a little more than two weeks before the Jan. 8 contest.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who is making a strong showing in Iowa, does not seem to be having the same success in New Hampshire with 10 percent support. And support for Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) is virtually unchanged at 8 percent.
The poll shows that likely Republican primary voters view McCain, who won the 2000 Republican primary here, as the most trustworthy and the most experienced of the field. But they believe Romney has the best chance of beating the Democratic nominee for president. Thirty percent of those surveyed say Romney is the strongest leader, compared to 29 percent for Giuliani and 25 percent for McCain.

The conservativebune once again showing its true bias with a bunch of words about conservatives and only one word about democrats.

Mccain seems likely to pull ahead in New Hampshire, and this will transform the race.
Romney, looking defeated in Iowa and new hampshire, will be finished.
Huckabee will pull together the religious right, while the secular politicians Guiliani, McCain, and Romney split the rest of the vote.

Republican fratricide may not be pretty, but it is fun!
The holier than thou, more patriotic than thou, tougher on illegal immigrants than thou types running for the Republican presidential nomination have given we Democrats a Christmas gift that we couldn't possible have paid for ourselves.
Tis the season!

Ron Paul received contributions from over 100,000 different people this quarter. He received $18,000,000 from those 100,000 people. His support is wide and deep. Look around your town and notice you see RP signs everywhere. Grab a cup of coffee and go to http://freeme.tv

Your poll fails to realize that most of the voters campaigning for Ron Paul are not registered republicans. We were disillusioned and had no voice before Dr. Paul and would not ever vote for a Republican other than Paul. You are in for a BIG SURPRISE in New Hampshire.

Not only is Romney a serial liar and a flip-flopper, he's also taking campaign money from Blackwater.

The MSM can keep using polls to try and influence the voters into voting how they want them to, but they're going to be in for a rude awakening on election night in NH. Ron Paul's "8%" will suddenly be in the high 20's and he will win this thing.

Doug Zook,
Are you a Religious bigot?
Do you believe in the First Amendment?
If you can, do a yes/no answer to all of these then evaluate yourself.
Do you know the Religion of:
Sen. Clinton?
Sen. Obama?
Former Sen. Edwards?
Sen. Dodd?
Sen. Biden?
Gov. Richardson?
Rep. Kacinich?
Gov. Huckabee?
Gov. Romney?
Sen. McCain?
Mayor Giuliani?
Rep. Paul?
That should be enough.
Marry Christmas.

Ron Paul will not win NH. He has the Howard Dean syndrome. A lot of grassroots support that simply does not and cannot vote in primaries.

GO ROMNEY!!! He's working harder for it than anyone I've ever seen -- and I think he's smarter, more moral, more religious, and more capable than the others.

Which is exactly why the republicrites need to lose next year. MORE RELIGIOUS? What does that have to do with being a leader of the US? So he isn't allowed to represent atheists? Sorry, not on my watch.

If Huckabee wins Iowa, chances are high that McCain will win NH. After that, who knows!

I am an Independent. I am leaning towards Democrats. However, if MCain gets the lead I may change my leaning. He saved us a lot of money by questioning the Tanker deal. He is the only honest candidate in the race.

Steve,
Two Guantonomo Mitt is more moral? I guess his morality only applies to fellow "Christians." And you should know, after Bush, saying one is "more religious" isn't necessarily a good thing. Besides, you forgot Willards strongest attribute, he's more flip-floppy.

PG,
What in my post leads you to believe I'm a "religious bigot?"
And yes I absolutely believe in the 1st Ammendment. Even when many Republicans who post here claim I'm a traitor for espousing my views on the fiasco called The Iraq War.

Romney will win both Iowa and NH. He will be the next President.
No one comes close to having the entire package of what would be best for America and people are just now starting to look at the real issues.

OK, lets turn your post around.
Listening to Democrat debates not answering simple Questions is fun.
The socialist left, believing more in the UN than the US, who want to give away US Sovereignty by allowing illegals to break the Laws of her Country, the Democrat's side is only helping the Citizens realize who to vote for as an executive candidate. Not a Senator that votes as a group 1 in 100. We couldn't wish for more.
Merry Christmas.

Zook,
I guess when you label someone... well I'm not holier, more patriotic, or because I believe in the Law and the Constitution, tends to annoy me. I'm not more "thou".
Policies need discussion, how those policies are going to be paid for. Is WA DC spending to much overall? Are they taking and wasting our money? How much money is coming out of your wallet to pay for those Policies? Not simple paragraphs that are very simple in thought.
You have your convictions, I have mine and who we disagree with running the Country is fine.
Some running for President point out facts, yet are described as "mean" with "attack ads". Makes for great campaign/campaigns BS, and the media loves it.
What I want for Christmas is someone who has the ability to run/lead a super power. Not a welfare Country. But that's just me.

OH Zook,
Views/Iraq/afghan: I believe 50 million people being allowed to vote, going to vote knowing they could be killed is pretty powerful.
How many here would risk their life to proudly point a purple finger in the air out of a "new born freedom" knowing they could be blown up?
We differ on how we view things but at least I haven't called you anything. I've asked why you said stuff but that's it.

I think Guiliani and Romney - although once considered the only Republican candidates worth talking about - are in a free-fall.
I'm also glad to see Sen. Clinton is getting a run for her money. Wouldn't it be great to see a REAL change and a real choice on the ballot? Say Ron Paul vs. Barack Obama.

Before voting for Romney, use due diligence, and investigate and analyze all of their beliefs. The Mormon Cult Sect doesn't want anyone to review the facts about their weirdo so-called faith; buried golden tablets, magical underwear, living on other planets, becoming gods themselves, baptism for other religion's dead ( including Jewish), after death having over 100 wifes (sounds like the terrorist beliefs in Iraq), their false prophet Hinckley having revelations from God, teachings that God currently inhabits a actual physical body, not being permitted to think for themselves apart from the group, and only accept what they are told by their Sect elders, and that all non-mormons (they call us Gentiles) will go to Hades. While Mormons share some beliefs with Christians, they are not Christians, and have perverted Christian teachings to create a false religion, with false prophecies and false teachings.
Even the actor Robert Redford, who has lived in Park City, UT, for over a decade, has spoken out on Mitt Romney and Mormons. "(Mormons) are very adept at not being fazed and speaking fluently and gracefully. Why? Because every single male who's a Mormon goes on a mission for two years when they're 19 or 20. ... They learn how to deflect blows and stay on message. No wonder Utah is the place that all these Republican senators go. It's perfect. So when you see Mitt Romney, he's already practicing how to deflect blows and stay on message. But it's plastic."
Romney has back himself into a corner--insisting that religion should play a role in politics, and yet insisting that his religion should not be examined. The secretive Sect made a last ditch effort, not be be questioned, by saying no religious "litmus" test should exist, and thus Romney would not be open to answer or reveal any specific questions on his faith. Forget about it, Mitt, "Silence will NOT be a option."
If you want a "brain-washed","mind-controlled","puppet" President, then by all means, vote for Williard (Mitt) Romney.

Zook, remember the Religious bigotry and the 1st Amendment.
My point has been completely justified by Jay, dec. 26.
This is the slope. So OK, where are we going to start?
Lets start alphabetically to remove ALL religions and anyones beliefs. That includes people who don't believe in any religion, but believe there is NO religion. That's a belief.
Guess what we finish up with? A planet full of animals.
Remember the holier than thou comments. Well what do you think of the post by Jay?

McCain is the only candidate with true leadership experience and the expericne we need today and tomorrow . Romney's glassy eyed stare and ability to lie well can fool some of the morons all of the time, but not all of the morons all of the time. The morons (not mormons) will change their mind. Hopefully, these same dimwitted viewers will see that McCain speaks the truth and lives the life we should all beliving. Honest, forthright and American. The Taliban mustbe defeated. Al Quida must be stopped. Who else has the credibility to stp than other than McCain?
Surely not Islamic Obama, wish-washy Clinton (who's hubby alowd the 9/11 pilots training as pilots when the black caucus griped about fighting the Muslims over the Serbs. Edwards has a good smile, but no experience. Paul is fluff with no follow up. Romney can't tell the truth to save Moroni's tutu from burning.
