The Swamp

by John McCormick

The speech Sen. Barack Obama gave on Nov. 10 in Des Moines at the Jefferson Jackson dinner won strong reviews from his supporters and the media.

So, nearly a month later, his campaign has done the obvious: It has made a commercial from the footage to try to appeal to Iowa voters. The ad, called "Moment," includes portions of the speech and quotes about him from news coverage. It runs a full (and expensive) minute.

With Oprah Winfrey set to campaign with him in Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire this weekend, one gets the sense that Obama is getting close to making his closing argument before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses.

Conservative Republicans are fearfull of change. That's what makes them conservative. I don't belive they see Mrs Clinton as a real agent of change (I don't either!) and that's why they support her nomination feeling she's fuzzy enough to give thir boy a chance. I believe the only real champion of change is Senator Obama but when push-comes-to-shove Americans will buy conservative fear. We all have to be on the same page for change to work. The sooner we're on the same page the quicker change will take effect. Senator Obama should spend more time talking to moderate Republicans and independents. Sorry for rambling. I'm voting Obama!

Does Obama actually run these ads that DNC Swamp reporters always post here, or does he just give them to his buddy John McCormick for free distribution via the DNC Swamp?

Since the DNC Swamp ignores the ads of the other 15 presidential candidates, I'll do their reporting work for them and post a sampling ads for the other candidates.

There's plenty more out there ....
