Sen. Barack Obama released the following statement on Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto's assassination today:

“I am shocked and saddened by the death of Benazir Bhutto in this terrorist atrocity. She was a respected and resilient advocate for the democratic aspirations of the Pakistani people. We join with them in mourning her loss, and stand with them in their quest for democracy and against the terrorists who threaten the common security of the world,” said United States Senator Barack Obama.

Very well stated. Concise and to the point. No need to issue a lot of hyperbole about clamping down on Islamofascists or terrorists and droning up a lot of fear among Americans for potential political political points that other candidates are going to be issuing. Bhutto's assassination was just a matter of time. Her father was assassinated, but at that time there was no such thing as Islamofascists to inject into the political discourse as there is today. So politicians should not use this event to gin up support for their quasi anti terrorism diatribe.
