SPENCER, Iowa -- Sen. Barack Obama has picked up the endorsement of U.S. Rep. David Loebsack, a first-term member of Congress from eastern Iowa. Loebsack was a professor at Cornell College when he beat longtime Republican Rep. Jim Leach in 2006.
“In a field of strong candidates, Barack is the strongest,” Loebsack said in a statement released by Obama's campaign. “What impresses me about Barack is his commitment to changing the way business is done in Washington. He understands that to pass universal health care, make energy independence a reality, and meet the other challenges we face, we need leadership that can bring all Americans together around a shared purpose.”

Meanwhile, another Iowa Congressman, Steve King, also endorsed a presidential candidate.
But since King is a Republican, and the candidate he endorsed, Fred Thompson, is a Republican, the DNC Swamp deemed this endorsement unworthy of mention.

for the text of the endorsement the DNC Swamp tries to hide from its readers.

Hey Bruce - please tell us how Michelle Malkin is such a non-biased source, okay?
You always bitch about anybody mentioned in a Swamp post as being a Democrat supporter, and then you dare to bring her up as a source?
GET REAL!

Brucie:
Thompson is a second tier candidate; who really cares who endorses him?
Even a third party candidate would beat your TV actor, unless, maybe, Thompson selected your idol Joe Lieberman as his running mate.

I wonder how much money Obama gave him to get his vote of support. He has been using his PAC all along for this purpose. A few days from now we will read how Obama gave this guy money. That is the Cook COunty way. Keep up the sleaze Barrack.
