Manchester, N.H. – The latest CNN/WMUR poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire puts Sen. Hillary Clinton back on top in the Granite State, leading 38 to 26 percent over Sen. Barack Obama after weeks of bad press for her campaign.
On the Republican side, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney continues to hold onto a double-digit lead with 34 percent of the vote, but Sen. John McCain has pulled away from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for second place. McCain gets 22 percent of the vote, compared to 16 percent for Giuliani and 10 percent for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who is leading in Iowa.
Most New Hampshire voters don't make up their mind who they will support until the final days of the campaign. The survey shows that of those people who plan to vote in the Democratic primary, 38 percent are undecided and 31 percent are leaning toward a candidate but not settled on a final decision. Among those who will vote in the Republican primary, only 22 percent have definitely decided who they will vote for.
Also in New Hampshire, undeclared voters who don't register as either Republicans or Democrats have the power to sway the election. They can vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary and they don't have to decide which one until they go to the polls.
Among undeclared voters, 60 percent currently say they plan to vote in the Democratic primary. Obama holds a slim edge over Clinton with those voters with 33 percent to Clinton's 31 percent.
Undeclared or independent voters who plan to vote in the Republican primary are almost evenly divided between Romney, Giuliani and McCain. Romney leads among independents with 30 percent, compared to 25 percent for Giuliani and 23 percent for McCain. In 2000, McCain won the New Hampshire primary with overwhelming support from undeclared voters.

Notice the difference in the first two paragraphs?
The first paragraph just mentions a poll--but doesn't mention that it's a poll of DEMOCRATS.
The second paragraph leads off with "On the Republican side...".
This is emblematic of DNC Swamp coverage--the Democrat race as THE race, with the Republican race added in as an afterthought.

An article has to start somewhere, either with the democrats or republicans.
The article is about the Democratic primary numbers, I do not see a slanted preference for one party or the other.
Are you saying, Bruce, that any news coverage, even just a numbers article, of the Democratic primary is slanted? Kind of unfair don't you think?

Brucie:
Get over it, will you?? What difference does it make as to which poll was mentioned first???
If you count the words, there are more words in the article about the Republican race than the Democratic race.

Yeah right! Hillary's campaign is so desperate that it's screwing with the polling. It's the campaign of inevitability - and the downward spiral of her political career is what's inevitable now.

It's also emblematic of reality. I know you 25%ers live in another world, but in the real one, the next president will be a Democrat.

I guess Bruce would prefer a more redundant phrasing for the second paragraph such as "in the same poll, Republican..."
Former Leftist/ JFK Democrat/ Sierra/ Damen/ Bruce- you're my hero

Bruce the republican party is an afterthought. You sir are a crybaby. I'm glad that Romney is leading with McCain in second. They are smart and if God forbid a republican got elected I could live with these guys. Rudy and Huckabee I can't. Having said that, I think that Obama and Clinton would be infinitely better presidents.
Vote Democrat in 2008. Let's take America back and undo the damage done by our crimminal leaders in the whitehouse.

Only Obama is not a millionaire, so how can we trust any of the main contenders in the Presidential race. Far as I can see, the only true honest one out of the group is Duncan Hunter or Ron paul. They don't have a pile of money, so they really don't stand a chance against the political spin machine. They all play along with the open-boders lobby, as I see a the paramount danger to our sovereignty. Tom Tancredo is dropping out, so other then Ron Paul and Mr. Hunter we will be welcoming more uncontrollable tidal waves of illegal aliens that will bankrupt America.

Ugghh. I just saw Huckabee's family picture on Drudge Report. What a bunch of obese, disgusting slobs. They look like something out of a Far Side comic. If conservatives give him the nomination just because he claims he's been endorsed by God, the republican party is done for.
