Hey there, congressional sports fans - the Sunlight Foundation has a new game for you. Let's call it "Where in the World is Rep. Jan Schakowsky?"
The Foundation, a watchdog that promotes government transparency, unveiled a new tool on its website today that allows users to track the movements of members of Congress who publicly release their appointment schedules. It's an extension of the Foundation's "Punch Clock Campaign," which in 2006 challenged lawmakers to post their schedules online.
A whopping eight of the 535 House and Senate members accepted the challenge - including Schakowsky, an Illinois Democrat. So now, with a few clicks, you can see that Schakowsky met with the CEO of the Walgreen Company on Sept. 18 in Chicago, or with America's deputy chief of mission in Pakistan on Oct. 3, or with the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the D.C. area on Nov. 1.
No one else from Illinois has accepted the challenge so far. But if you like, you can see the entire Montana delegation -- all three of them.

Thanks for the post! If your members of Congress aren't on this map, call them and ask why they aren't posting their schedules.

Good for Schakowsky, but I don't think her motive is entirely altruistic.
If Obama was elected president, Schakowsky could make a run for Obamas seat in the Senate.
A little window dressing like this wouldn't hurt her if she decided to make that run.

I wonder if it will show her posting bail for her check kiting husband?

Terry, what about conjugal visits to her criminal husband? I'd like to know when she knew her hubby was committing crimes. Wow, another criminal politician from the Left and gee, she's from Illinois too. Our state motto, no longer Land of Lincoln, but: Land of Criminal Democratic Politicians.

Great! Now Paulo and John D can follow Jan to her events and carry out their demented wishes. I'm sure the FBI is watching you Dyslin. After all you did say you would like to put the Democratic leadership in front of a firing squad, you want to bomb the Democratic Convention and you want to set fire to the Tribune. Your a class act. If the Bush Administration isn't watching then they simply are not taking terrorism seriously and have only used it for political expediency.

I'm sure it bugs the wing nuts to no end that Jan is once again being a trailblazer when it comes to good government. I don't see any IL GOP members on this list, that's for sure. You can try to smear Jan's name, but it hasn't work, it's not not working now, and it's not gonna work in the future.
