MANCHESTER, N.H.--Former presidential candidate and ex-U.S. Sen. Bill Bradley endorsed Barack Obama this morning.

Like Obama, Bradley waged a presidential bid in 2000 that challenged the party establishment's candidate, former Vice President Al Gore, and drew heavily from independent voters.

Bradley will be campaigning for Obama in New Hampshire on Monday, an Obama spokesman said.

In endosring Obama, Bradley cited the Illinois senator's ability to draw support from independents and Republicans.

“Barack Obama is building a broad new coalition that brings together Democrats, Independents, and Republicans by once again making idealism a central focus of our politics,” Bradley said in a statement the Obama campaign released a few moments ago. “Because of his enormous appeal to Americans of all ages and backgrounds, Obama is the candidate best positioned to win in November. Barack knows above all that unless people can once again believe in our democracy, we won’t be able to do the things that need to be done on health care and education or to break our dependence on foreign oil. His movement for change could create a new era of American politics – truly a new American story.”

The Obama train just keeps on a rollin' gathering more and more momentum and passengers.

DNC Swamp article number 132 on politicians, talk show hosts and actors endorsing Obama.

Meanwhile, other candidates get similar endorsements, but the Obama-loving Swamp uses Maxwell Smart's "cone of silence" to censor these facts from its reading public.

Bill Bradley has been MIA from the political scene for 8 years. Glad to see he has been rescued and inspired by the Obama candidacy.

Obama is the best chance of uniting the country. He draws democrats, republicans and indepedents. Hilary can't do that. She is just selfish, insincere and power-hungry.

We are tired of the Bushs and Clitons. Even Bill Clinton is starting to piss me off.

Obama has my vote.

Obama is a real dream for all of us....a real chance for USA and for all country all over the world. i'm live in europe and, sincerely, i believe in Obama more than every politician all over the planet earh.

(sorry for my bad english)

God bless the real USA, God bless the "Obama USA".
God Bless you.

Bradley gets it!

I am surprised that Clintonites don't understand what Bradley so clearly does.

Bradley; Yet one other candie I would have liked to vote for in a primary election, but due to the current, undemocratic, process I never got the chance.

We need National Primary Day.

Until then it's gonna be ethanol with 'Big Maple Syrup' like it or not.

There is incredible interest in the UK in Obama and the media over here reckon he is on the way to beoming the next President

I went out with a bunch of guys and girls last night, old mates aged 30-45. Half of them are incorrigible, anti-American lefties and they are PERPLEXED by the prospect of an Obama win. Why? Because it wholly undermines the reason they love to hate America - for its racism and unfairness etc.

These people, the anti-Americans, would be literally shocked into silence by an Obama victory. It just wouldn’t compute.

Reason enough to give Barack a chance. But there’s more.

A vote for Obama would be the biggest victory in the war on terrorism since it started.

Let’s face it, the War on Terror hasn’t been going so well. Afghanistan was OK, but Guantanamo was a monumental own goal, Iraq was a grotesque, tragic, blood-soaked disaster, and the possible war on Iran just piles despair on despair.

But now, by electing Obama, America can WIN the war on terrorism in one go. With a simple vote.

Whenever Osama bin Laden comes a-visiting again, Americans can say, yeah, you bombed and killed us, you hated and frightened us, you made us make mistakes - but in the end, what was our reaction to 9/11? To elect a half black president with the middle name Hussein. Beat that.

And indeed, what is al Qaeda’s answer to that? More death? A few more bombs? More killing? They would be attacking the country that embodies the best hopes of all of us, the country that responded to attacks from swarthy guys called Hussein, by voting in a black president with the middle name Hussein.

Obama is the chance for America to prove its greatness. Electing Obama defeats Osama, once and for all time.

Its as if now that Obama has won Iowa, even/slight ahead in NH, all the Obama supporters are coming out of the closet.

RNC Gadfly Bruce,

How sad for you.

Reduced to counting pro-Obama endorcements instead of supporting a candidate yourself.

I pity you.

Go Obama!

Rhodes Scholar, Olympic Gold Medalist Team Captain, best selling author, mutiple term Senator... If Gore didn't smear him with distortions, if Gore didn't pick Lieberman and would've picked Bradley we wouldn't have this mess we do now. Bradley is a Great Man that deserves more respect than Al Gore. His endorsement should have more influence than it ever will.

Bradley endorsed Howard Dean also, so just have a mini-orgasm on this one.

How many other endorsements are for senators from Illinois, brucie?

Why don't you cry to Zell, ask him why he hasn't turned the Tribune into a noise machine for Republics, like faux news and hate radio?

It must be a bitch seeing your whole fraudulent empire of lies and deceit slip away. This time next year you and the hijacked Republican Party will be irrelevant. Don't despair, Analdice, I hear American Spectator is hiring professional whiners. It's on the "left coast" but it's in a "right" county.

Bill: Great to see you getting active. Keep up the good work and continue to speak out on the dangers of letting the clinton info linger. You know the GOP will plaster her with it if she's the nominee. Thanks, Joe Bradley (no relation)

For Obama/March 15, 2008 (from Barbara Mills (BJDMills77@AOL.com)
I hope the following suggestions will be worth a look by Obama. They were made before the flap over his pastor’s sermons, but are still valid when the campaign gets back to something meaningful.

I believe Obama should do more to emphasize his connection with ex-steel workers when a community organizer in Chicago. Locate a couple to appear with him if possible. A good opportunity to compare his "action" with blue-collar workers to Hillary's "talk"

I also think Obama should do more to locate/bring to attention in speeches the fact that there were white women who were active in the 60s civil rights movement Locate some in PA,. I know there were many, and highlight a few--have some appear with you at a speech. My daughter, knowing my support for Obama and my activism in civil rights, says there should be a different stat for them. Highlighting those such as myself, might act to add to his voter %age among women, especially white women. As in my case, I am a white woman who was totally involved in the Civil Rights Movement in Maryland in 60s---and I mostly fit the 50/50 profile of Clinton supporters. In my case it's more like 30 (nearer my income than 50), and 70 (almost 80 years old): But I also have two Master's Degrees (one from the Univ of Birmingham in England).

One final comment. I've wondered why the supposedly fully vetted Hillary has never been forced to be specific as to what her 35 years of experience was that qualifies her to be ready on Day One. I thought I heard this finally raised on Tuesday regarding her readiness to answer a phone at 3 AM but then no other commentators have followed this up. It was a detailed listing of events that occurred during Bill's Presidency and asking what her role was in each ), if any (never even having had security clearance. What did she do for 8 years as 1st lady that qualifies her, not only to answer the phone, but ready to respond (to such a crisis that it couldn't even wait till morning) without consulting anyone else (even rolling over in bed to ask Bill's opinion---or don't they sleep together!!).

P.S. Made after the flap.
When I lived in Chicago, I attended the Wellington Av. UCC church. When I move to the Baltimore area, I joined the otherwise all-black Heritage UCC church—This denomination tends to be liberal and brings the Bible to life by making its text relevant to what’s going on today. Hence, I don’t find what Obma’s minister preached all that offensive. Much of it is true but little known by most Americans, and, of course, not in keeping with the Obama message of inclusiveness.
I suggest you read Overthrow: America’s Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq by Stephen Kinser and also view segment of Bill Moyer’s Journal about the way we, and media, were deceived as to need to attack Iraq (playing night of 14th, at same time as all the talk about your minister’s sermons was going on)
I sure hope this flap ends soon. I pray you will win. I haven’t decided if I’ll vote for Hillary if she wins, or just stay home; not that RI’s vote means much anyway.

I have been a democrat all my life, and have been voting for over 30 years. And I wii not
vote for obama for president or
Dog catcher.
