So much for the Obama wave.
The Associated Press and CNN have projected Sen. Hillary Clinton the winnner of the New Hampshire Democratic primary with more than 70 percent of the precincts reporting, with Clinton holding a three percentage point lead, 39 percent to 36 percent for Sen. Barack Obama.
Clinton's lead has held steady all night with Obama never breaking above 37 percent. Exit polls indicate she did significantly better with women in New Hampshire than in Iowa. And she also received stronger support than Obama did from older voters as well as blue-collar and lower income voters.
The polls were way off in this race, which may indicate that the models the pollsters used contained some really faulty assumptions. For instance, they may have given independents and younger voters too much weight after the Iowa caucuses.
No doubt a lot of people will be doing a lot of explaining tomorrow as to why their surveys were so far off.

C'mon out and explain yourselves, Obamabots.
A little song for C. Morris
I am Hillary hear me roar
I'm more important than Al Gore
I just upset Obama!

Hey RNC Brucie,
Either way, the Dems still kicked the Republic Party's butt.
Following a trend started in Iowa, the Dems had over 80,000 more voters than the Republics had in New Hampshire and we've got an outstanding group of candidates...

Hey Bill/Jeffy,
If you think that crazy old man that you support is going to win anymore states after New Hampshire, you're fooling yourself.
The Dem race is far from over, unlike your side, we have alot of good candidates.

Faulty logic, again, from the man child. It doesn't matter which party had more voters, any of those democrats can break from party balloting and vote for a republican in the general, as they have for the last two elections. For the last twenty years there have been more registered democrats in this nation than republicans.
It hasn't stopped us from winning elections. Also, the independents broke 59-41 in taking a democrat-republican ballot. The reason Obama lost is because SO MANY independents voted for McCain and not your guy.
Anyone want to take back their bluster from the "hillary cries" thread.

Go Hillary!! Great win. I guess Obama will have to wait for the win.

Won't happen Bill/Jeff, Americans are rejecting the "Republican" brand name in drooves...but I enjoy watching you nutty Wingnuts get your hopes up,

Deranged, demented John E., your side has nothing. Absolutely nothing. Barack Obama has not done one thing to become president of the U.S. A new and do-nothing senator for two years (the past year he has been a candidate, not a senator) and a minor, do-nothing state senator for 4 years is nothing.
The Queen B? A U.S. Senator4 for six years and a do-nothing, failed First Lady is not a qualification to become president of the U.S.

NOOO!! Anyone but Hillary!!
She's the worst candidate of them all! Her slogan is "experience" but she dosn't HAVE any experience!
So she was First Lady...she was the WIFE of a president; that's not experience. Like someone pointed out in the newspaper's opinion page, that's like saying that the wife of a soldier has a military carreer and the wife of a doctor has a medical carreer. As far as I know, no one has given Sean Hannity an answer to his challenge: can anyone name one accomplishment of hers? Not what she plans on doing, one thing she has DONE. The answer: nothing. America is ready for a female president-just not this one.

Please continue to call a decorated veteran and POW a "crazy old man." I want people to see how crass you are.

The 'fairy tale' Obama found reality tonight. Now, let's hope the press and media will start to look a little deeper into his sordid past....like maybe the 'so-called' Christian Church he belongs too.
Let America find out who and what this man is really all about... it won't be pretty.

When John E predicts something the exact opposite happens (see Obama defeats Hillary in New Hampshire). Your prediction of no more primary wins for McCain is great news! Thanks!
Remember when you were saying he wouldn't win New Hampshire?

What do you make of Hillary Clinton wining New Hampshire and defying experts and the pundits who predicted a big loss for her?

Bill/Jeff,
What's with all the gloating over McCain. You're worse than the Bears celebrating a return to the Super Bowl before the season starts. Consult your alter-ego, Terry, he'll tell you it's called "irrational exuberance."

This race is not over by a long shot. If Obama does come back it is probably a good thing that he goes through a tough road to get the nomination. The Clinton campaign probably was helped by Edwards attacking Hillary because it looked like the guys were piling on. On the otherhand' Bill came across pretty ugly in his attacks on Obama-this may not play out so well in the rest of the country.

It's a slim victory margin, compared to Iowa. Congrats to NH'ers for getting out the vote. I'm glad it's a tight race all around. It encourages people to get out and participate in the process.

College Republican Jeff is back after taking his ball and stomping away months ago! And he's as big of a stuffed shirt as ever!
I thought that you enlisted. But no. You can contribute sooo much more as a junior pundit. Tucker Carlson's slot will be available soon.

I'm not 'back' I'm just posting a few corrections to point out the wrongheadedness of the majority of posters (and Swamp reporters) here who predicted an Obama win in New Hampshire and that McCain would be out of the race by now. It's not shaping up like you guys wanted, pure and simple.
Dusty, I don't even know who Terry is, although I understand that's the party line for Swamp voters. If someone dares to disagree with you attack them as any number of posters that have done so before. I still don't even know who Bill was/is.
Don't worry, I'll leave again soon. I have more important work to do than sitting here and arguing with you guys in the play pen all day. Work in places like Michigan and South Carolina. I do sincerely hope, though, that you all continue to enjoy the sound of your own voices so much. It's important work you're doing, after all, getting primary results wrong and posting tasteless insults. I'm sure your parents are all so proud of you.
p.s. "College" republican? Please, I was in college in the '90s and like most of Obama's supporters I didn't know much about politics other than who was popular.

From the "Substitute" by THE WHO
"I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth
The north side of my town faced east, and the east was facing south
And now you dare to look me in the eye
Those crocodile tears are what you cry
It's a genuine problem, you won't try
To work it out at all you just pass it by, pass it by"
Nice try, Hillary, but the rest of the nation won't buy it.

Rational people usually consider name calling and yelling at others to be abusive. The Swamp has a disclaimer under 'Post A Comment' that states comments are screened for, among other things, "over the top personal attacks". Frank James, Mark Silva and other Swamp writers- you are not doing your job. Posters who call other posters "deranged", "demented", or worse are abusive. Posters who cap entire messages are yelling at the top of their lungs to others in the cyber world. That is abusive. Are you aware of this? The Swamp invites people to read their blog and to comment. Highly differing opinions written about topics are understandable. What I do not understand is The Swamp's condoning of the abuse to the very same posters who are publically invited to this Trib forum, and who make the blog meaningful.
The wild west was not a safe place for real comments or discussion. It was a more base world where brutality often did the talking. Swamp, is this what you are promoting in 2008? Also, Frank, Mark, Swamp- please let me know if you consider posters to be public figures like the topics of your many posts. I would very much like to know your position on this. Thanks in advance for an answer.

I probably won't vote for Hillary, but if she is the candidate (and most likely President) I'll certainly enjoy watching the repubics collective heads explode.
