NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – When John Edwards called Sen. Hillary Clinton this morning to say he was dropping out, he asked her to continue his crusade against poverty in her campaign. Five minutes after he finished speaking in New Orleans, she told reporters here that she would do just that.
"He has made poverty a centerpiece of his campaign and it needs to be on the top of the list of America's priorities," she said at North Little Rock High School, where she held a rally earlier focusing on the economy and credit card industry reform.
Clinton said that she did not ask Edwards for his endorsement during their phone call.
"I have not, because I think this is up to Senator Edwards to decide how he is going to participate, if at all, in this campaign," she said.
"I want to wish John and Elizabeth well, and thank him for running a great campaign."
Asked if she would re-tool her strategy to scoop up Edwards supporters', Clinton said no, arguing that she's already trying to win over all voters.

I was not planning to vote for Edwards, I'm for Clinton all the way, but I am sorry to see him drop out. He was a good presence at the debates.

Too bad more people can't see through this Hillary tactic. Let's wait until we have a WORTHY female candidate. This "35 years' experience" is quite laughable. I only know of seven years. Or is she referring to her experience and role in Whitewater? Or perhaps the missing documents that were found in her White House closet? Or perhaps her experience in firing the travel staff after revelations about improper billing practices, or maybe Vince Edwards? Or maybe her experience funding Media.Matters? Or was she referring to her experience in gaining Chinese campaign donations in return for Walmart shelves? Someone needs to call her out on her OWN ties to Resko...I could go on and on.... And you know what, readers? I'm not even saying this because I'm an Obama fan. IN fact, I'm voting Republican. But you Democrats better pick someone more honest and worthy to represent you or you will lose again. Remember, people are backing McCain because of his honesty and straightforwardness....thanks for reading this

Edwards added a good wholesome tone to the campaign as did Richardson and Biden. Obama is not Chamelot revisited. We have a mortgage crisis, recession, an unwanted war, an overwhelming deficit, and a world PR problem to name a few issues. Beautiful rhetoric is not going to win against McCain's experience. We need a real change that a woman President will bring.
Hillary has credibilty. She will get healthcare in place for everyone, education will be a real priority. Diplomacy will be reestablished. We will reduce our independence on oil by creating new jobs in the environmental sector..In Massachusetts Deval Patrick had Obama's message and all the liberals voted for him, but he doesn't know how to govern. We need a President with more depth, not lofty words like Bush had!

I love it when Democrats talk about the dangers of economic inequality and "Christian" Republics cry "class warfare". What other topic is off limits to discuss Republican Party?
