More on McCain and Alito

There's talk going around in Rethuglican circles that if old man McCain gets the nomination they're going to run a third party candidate, that's how much they hate him.
The Paulbots are already saying that Ron Paul will be running in the general election and he has more cash on hand than McCain does.

Why is John McCain so thrilled with Alito? Alito joined the US Army's ROTC program, where he pimped and exploited taxpayers for 7 years of "free" college education (JD/under grad degrees). Alito incurred an active military obligation of 11 years. No where on Alito's "bio" website is any mention of him completing his active military duty. GOP MANTRA: Military service is noble. Bush blew off his military service and he hired a clone in the form of Alito. Where's Obvam when ya need him?

John Lieberman McCain, is an old war horse, McCain wants the USA to stay in Iraq for a 100 years, and bomb Iran as soon as possible. mcCain divorced his wife while she had cancer and married into money to pay for his presidential goals. While in Vietman he bombed hospitals in Hanoi killing children. Mccain is totally unfit to be president of anything.

Historically, ~28-30% of the US population is conservative, ~18-20% liberal, and the other ~50% in the middle. Why then is it democratic, and all-American to stack the court with Conservatives instead of something along the lines above?? [Answer: It's not; it's fascist.]

The flap over Alito should remind people that the next president will most probably have the opportunity to name at least three Supreme Court justices. We can't afford any more Republicans naming corporate tools (Roberts), and anti-civil rights (Scalia, Alito, Thomas) idealogues to the court. It will take decades to undo the damage already done.

When I heard John McCain speak in Weare, NH, he very definitely mentioned both
Roberts AND Alito as the type of justices he would like to nominate for the Supreme Court.
This does indeed sound like a political dirty trick to me and, having seen Willard in action when I lived in Massachusetts, it would not surprise me in the least if this came from his camp.

McCain wants to bomb Iran and stay in Iraq for 100 years and promised for more wars. McCain says he wants interest rates to be ZERO out of complete ignorance for how interest rates affect the economy. I'd like to see him say that to retirees on a fixed income. McCain want 10 million illegal immigrants to stay permanently and legal immigrants who can vote do not support it. How could this country be secure if he is in power??? If McCain is nominee, as a republican I would rather vote Clinton than McCain. As least we know Clinton has some intelligence and lead the booming economic. McCain will lead this country to a total ruin with his lack of intelligence and no executive experience. Mitt Romney is an expert in economics and finance and is the man we need as president.

Political activists do not like them because they refuse to read into the Constitution (and other laws) things that simply aren't there. I believe in democracy - where the people, through their representatives, decide what the law will be, and the judges enforce it, not expand it to make it mean what they think it ought to mean.

I AGREE THAT MCCAIN'S TEMPER IS ATROCIOUS AND I DON'T THINK HE IS THE LEAST BIT CONSERVATIVE. HE IS PRETENTIOUS AND TELLS IT IN ALL DIRECTIONS. I DON'T LIKE HIM NOR DO I TRUST HIM. I THINK MITT ROMNEY IS A MUCH MORE ETHICAL PERSON AND I THINK GIULANI WOULD BE A GOOD LEADER.

If you're an attorney I'm the man on the moon. What you just posted contradicts what real attorneys learn in the first ten minutes of Con. Law I, namely that the Constitution was intended to be countermajoritarian under certain circumstances. Remember how "The People" enacted segregationist policies?

As an attorney I would like to have Judges that read and understand the Bill of Rights, and are not simply mouth pieces for the Chamber and large multinational corpoarte interest that do not share our Countries self interest. My ancestors signatures are on The Bill of Rights the DOI, as well as the Mayflower compact and no one in my blood line has ever held these "values" they are now expousing. I have a little blood and history invested in this great experiment called America and I would prefer my rights not be given away or sold to the highest bidder as is now the style. May God save the Union.

I worry about this denial stuff when it comes to McCain. I saw him deny something in a live interview on Meet the Press. Then Tim Russert produced the piece in writing and McCain laughed which is what he seems to do when cornered with the facts. Further, if he dissed Judge Alito as John Fund reports, I will move to Romney in a heartbeat. He also has a short fuse which bothers me. Does temperament for the job ring a bell?

In response to "How Un-American You All Are": Having a judicially conservative Supreme Court actually results in greater democracy. With a conservative court, we have ELECTED officials VOTE on laws (in other words, democracy). On the other hand, activist judges make whatever laws they see fit, and don't have to give any regard to what the people actually want, because they are UNELECTED. Which one sounds like fascism to you?
