WATERLOO, Iowa – In a city where African-Americans represent 12 percent of the population, Sen. Barack Obama and his wife campaigned this evening, as the clock before the Iowa caucuses dipped below 24 hours.

"Tomorrow is D-Day," Michelle Obama told an audience, estimated by the campaign to total more than 1,000. "We need you. Do not forget that."

Obama has repeatedly visited the northeast-Iowa community to campaign and meet with African-American church and community leaders.

"The pundits and the experts don't think you are going to show up," he told the crowd. "If you are taking the time to be here tonight, then I know you are going to be there tomorrow."

After traveling by bus in eastern Iowa throughout the day Wednesday, Obama was to fly to Des Moines for a 10 p.m. rally there, before grabbing a few hours of sleep ahead of morning radio and television interviews and -- finally -- some voting in the evening.

Please God allow Obama to win in 08

Iowans who caucus for Obama are courageous Americans who should be proud of the positive difference they will make for all of us.

I spent Christmas 2005 reading Barack Obama's first book, Dreams from my Father, and Christmas
2006 reading his second book, The Audacity of Hope. I have also seen him speak and shaken his hand. As a person who feels like an informed citizen, I can honestly say, Barack Obama would make a better President than anyone running and we would be so blessed to have him as our President. I hope people across America wake up and realize that we have a rare opportunity to have an inspiring, decent leader in the White House, one who can unite this country and show the world, once again that we are a great nation which can work with other nations to solve the problems of the world. God bless Barack Obama, his Family, and his Team! Regards, William F. Slater, III - http://www.billslater.com/who_is_barack_obama.htm

Iowa holds the power to place Obama as our President. I am hoping against the pundits who say a 99 precent white state will NOT caucus for him. I am hoping against the naysayers who say Americans under 30 will not caucus. This is a hitorical moment. Iowa, please turn the page and get us over the hill. Obama 08!

"Obama fires up Waterloo" screams the pompous headline.

Fact 1--the city of Waterloo, Iowa has a population of 70,000.

Fact 2--the Obama campaign claims that 1,000 people attended this rally.

Fact 3--thus, even if you assume that everyone at the event was "fired up", 69,000 of the 70,000 Waterloo residents weren't even there to be "fired up".

Conclusion: The headline writers for the DNC Swamp who write that Obama "fired up Waterloo" should be writing science fiction instead.
