NASHUA, N.H. -- As the Democratic presidential candidates prepare to debate this evening in this first-in-the-nation primary state, Sen. Barack Obama's campaigned announced an endorsement from Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle.
In a statement, Gov. Jim Doyle said he was backing the Democrat from a neighboring state because he believes Obama can build a coalition of Democrats, Republicans and independents to win in November and make changes in Washington.
“Obama listens to competing points of view, but makes strong decisions," Doyle said. "He has campaigned like he will govern, by bringing people together and inspiring average Americans to participate in the political process so that we can take on the special interests and the great challenges we face.”
First elected in 2002, Jim Doyle is serving his second term as Wisconsin's governor.

This is real water torture for Hillary: Drip, drip, drip...an endorsement here, a third place finish there, a major gaffe before two national TV audiences, polls showing she's dropping like a rock, and Bill out there calling attention to her advanced age and years "experience" as a first lady in contrast with Obama's youth and enthusiasm. Drip, drip, drip.....

On Wisconsin!
The Iowa caucus vote showed that the Democratic Party resoundingly rejected torture; Hillary Clinton got just 29 percent of the caucus vote. Let's hope that trend is continued in New Hampshire, South Carolina and beyond.
As Milan Kundera wrote: "The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting."

Torture is as morally wrong as racial segregation and the historic mistreatment of Native Americans.
The Democratic Party should not be led by someone whose moral compass is so weak that they are incapable of being a strong voice against this abominable practice.

I am from Australia and who wins in American presidential election has little or no effect over here, but for some reason I want Sen. Barack Obama to win.

Everyone can now see that Obama is the best chance of uniting this country, for democrats, republicans and indepedents. An Hilary is the worst thing that could happen to the Democratic party because all the people coming out to support Obama would NOT vote for Hilary.
Go Obama.

I hope it doesn't hurt him, but Obama is popular with at least one Republican (me).

Obama’s efforts to connect to the Republican Party, specifically Bush, and Dick Chaney, of the Halliburton Company, dates back to the Presidents Grandfather, Prescott Bush, and indeed Chaney was once an executive officer of Halliburton.
The American military pounds Iraq with Artillary, bombs, and the like, destroying large sections of cities, and infra-structures, then Halliburton comes in to rebuild. Halliburton and Halliburton associated companies have raked in ten’s of billions.
Obama is just like the BIG HALIBURTAN. Haliburton has contracted to build detention centers in the U.S. similiar to the one in Quantanammo Bay, Cuba. Halliburton does nothing to earn the Two Dollars for each meal an American Serviceman in Iraq eats.

Halliburton was scheduled to take control of the Dubai Ports in The United Arab Emiirate. The deal was canceled when Bush was unable to affect the transfer of the American Ports.
Now we see what some might suspect as similiar financial escapading from the Democrats.
Two years ago, Iraq’s Ministry of Electricity gave a $50 million contract to a start-up security company - Companion- owned by now-indicted businessman (TONY REZKO) Tony Rezko and a onetime Chicago cop, Daniel T. Frawley, to train Iraqi power-plant guards in the United States. An Iraqi leadership change left the deal in limbo. Now the company, Companion Security, is working to revive its contract.
Involved along with Antoin “Tony” Rezco, long time friend and neighbor of Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, and former cop Daniel T. Frawley, is Aiham Alsammarae. Alsammarae was accused of financial corruption by Iraqi authorities and jailed in Iraq last year before escaping and returning here.
Obama should be vetted and disclose his connection to the criminal money generating underworld. Besides, his connections to the REZCO MAFIA types, his up-coming tax fraud charges — Obama needs to disclose why he is a Muslim and stop suppoting our intervention in IRAQ. It’s time to shove an introduction to this fake rip-off Obama and invite the thief pipsqueke to meet the Waukesheake Police Department
