EL DORADO, Kan – Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama has won the endorsement of the governor of Kansas, a state where no Democratic nominee since Lyndon Johnson in 1964 has won electoral votes.
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius arrived at the end of an event here, in the hometown of Obama's grandfather on his mother's side, because of high winds and snow in Kansas.
"Right now, I think we are with the next president of the United States," she said.
Democratic presidential candidates had sought her backing, even though George W. Bush carried the state by large margins in the 2000 and 2004 elections.
Sebelius said Obama has "Midwestern values" that he got "from his grandparents and from his mom."
With the Kansas caucuses being part of the 22 states that will hold nominating contests a week from today, Sebelius urged more than 2,000 people gathered in a community college gymnasium to support Obama.
"Don't just applaud, but you caucus for him," she said.

'Bama gets a the Kansas governor's endorsement?
Nice,
but it's no Chuck Norris or Rambo for cripes sake.

Great, but how about an article on Senator Clinton getting California Congresswoman Maxine Waters' endorsement? That's seems pretty huge given that Waters is quite outspoken and certainly not someone who would back so-called racists.

No doubt Sebelius will incur the wrath of NOW, too.

'Midwestern Values?'
Barack Hussein Obama's youth was spent in Indonesia where he attended a madrassa in Jakarta....then he spent his teenage years smoking weed in Hawaii.
Midwestern values????

Lot's of weed was smoked in the Midwest..

That is true C.Morris, but the the types of marijuana strains in Hawaii are much more potent than your basic home grown Illinois ditch weed.
I regard these more potent strains in Hawaii to Obama's delusional statement about wanting to invade our nuclear ally, Pakistan.

Just wondering how women feel about this. NOW had a blistering statement for Ted and Caroline Kennedy. Do any women feel this makes Sibelius a traitor to her gender? I suspect we'll be hearing that from NOW real soon.

Obama will be able to talk to world leaders much more effectively than Hillary or the belligerent McCain. Peace is a prerequisite for economic recovery and prosperity.
Who needs a quarter century of American Presidents who are either Clinton or Bush - no more dynasty politics.
An America based on compassion towards its own people will be much more respected than " Reach out and crush someone " politics of GOP.

I'm assuming Swamp's failure to post my earlier blog was an oversight.
Again, I look forward to the article highlighting outspoken, Congressional Black Caucus member Maxine Waters' (D-California) endorsement of the so-called "racist" Hillary Clinton. I think this goes a long way to dispel the "Clintons are racists" "fairy tale". Waters does not play when it comes to that issue. If she thought the Clintons were racists she'd be out front sounding the alarm and raising hell.

A real man when offered a womens hand is always to be gracious, is this how you are ?? bye bye mr obama, this means this is your style, and its unexceptable, for a while you had my moms vote and i told mom he is going to mess up big time, after all you are NO Jack Kennedy
i was shocked that Ted and Caroline indorsed you so heavily, and i know Caroline does not approve of her children being exposed on TV, IF TEDDY GOT INTO THE RACE TODAY HE WOULD BE THE NEXY PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, TEDDY WOULD BRING THE TROOPS HOME ASAP.

Ummm Biggdawg...
Maxine waters was named in 2005 and 2006 as one on the most corrupt politicians in Congress.... in other words, she don't help.
But, for your mental well being, Obama's friend of [25] years, Tony Rezko, will soon spill the beans against him for a lighter prison sentance...
Happy Now?
...Hey! What's with you democrat libs and all this corruption?

If Barack Hussein Obama was born in Indonesia, would he be eligeble to run for the office of the President of our United States? How much weed did he smoke in Hawaii and is he still smoking it? Can we get an unbiased but control drug test to see if he is still smokig weed?
Kathleen Sibelius, Kansas Governoe, made a terible speech, I wondered why whe was giving the response speec instead of Nancy Palosi, now we know....she is a shill for the Obama campaign. I talked with numberous friends today and they all agreed she was a waste of time and did say anything of improtance except we said we all hurl, if she said Mr,President one more time we were going to turn her off and we did. I thought she was giving a report on the State of Kansas with her first comments. It very clever and underhanded to have this person give the response and the next day get on tv and tell how much she just loved Obma and how he was going to save our world...Not if we have anything to say about it...We are voting No for Obama here in Illinois.

Jo,
A child is an American citizen if they are born any where in the world of American parents. Obama's parents were Americans so he is an Americans.
Here's a modern day example for you Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a child outside the US. Their child is an American too.

Jeff,
Women know that we are long over due for a woman president. But we are more concerned that the right person to lead our nation is elected no mater what their gender is.
We also will still cheer if Senator Clinton is elected our new president, we just won't all feel obliged to vote for her in a primary just because of her gender. WOW is a bit over committed to her candidacy.

Sibelius will get Obamas vicepresident, because of several reasons:
1. She is a woman
2. She is a senior
3. She is tough
3. She mad him win big
4. both are distinguished
5. The like each other
