The Swamp

Why is the media so scared to report on Ron Paul?

Given that Obama, Clinton and Edwards are likely to finish 1-2-3 in any order in Iowa, who really can claim victory unless it is a landslide?

Do you believe that a McCain-Huckabee ticket could be possible, given the degree of recent cooperation between the two campaigns to oppose Romney?

These and other questions found answers in an online chat today with Tribune reporters. See it here. And the next chat, with reporters in New Hampshire, comes Friday at 12:30 pm CST.

Romney could care less about Americans...especially the physically handicap...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY6UTnS6Z-A...see the truth.

That would be wonderful. I don't believe the opposition could even come close to topping a ticket like that.We could have 16 years in the White House.

Huckabee being on a McCain ticket would definitely keep me from voting for John. He is the only republican I would consider voting for. With Huckabee, not a chance. Huckabee gives me the creeps.

The elite media and republican surrogates are “dancing in the street together” as they slam Huckabee every chance they can. It’s like watching someone who came from the wrong side of the tracks crash an elite social party in a well-to-do side of town.

Up with Huckabee! Down with the elite republicans and their talk show hosts attacking their own!

I'll put Obama/Richardson against that ticket any day of the week.

Remember little sheep, your ticket will be faced with an on-going unpopular war,a housing industry in the crapper, and now most economist are forecasting a mild to deep recession.

I can't even see the hicks in the red states buying that again.

ps,oh yeah, maybe they will buy that tax cuts for the rich again, they ain't to smart down there!

Huckabee thinks we need a bass player in the WH. My daughter plays keyboards, bass and acoustic guitar. Does that mean she has the credentials to be president?

Huckabee video He is such a nice guy.

What a wonderful idea. I would vote in a heart beat for a ticket made up of tweedle dee and tweedle dum. Actually they would probably give each other fits. Besides neither will win the nomination. Duncan Hunter will be the Republican nominee.

A McCain - Huckabee ticket wout not be good for fiscal conservatives. McCain is essentially a Democrat who is part of the rampant spending congress. Huckabee was a good spender in Arkansas. What this country needs is a real fiscal conservative like Romney. The US is in a deep financial mess and we need a financial genius to get us out of this mess. My vote is for Romney.

Huckabee is TOP OF THE TICKET material. The media just haven't caught on yet. As for McCain, his best days are behind him. Huckabee needs to choose someone who will join him in promoting his FairTax agenda, and the many others platform items he's laid out at his site.

Thank you for acknowledging that the GOP has completely screwed things up, but how will Romney, who supports Bush's policies, get us out of this mess? It is time for republicans to admit that their ideology is corrupt.

I've got to ask you John S.What F'n planet have you been living on?
Please explain to me what a "Real Fiscal Conservative" is? Lord knows I've been asking all the local wing nuts to no avail.

Senator McCain (R-CA) Supported Social Security Benefits For Illegals Who Used Fraud To Obtain Social Security Cards. "[Sen. McCain] was one of the senators that voted to go ahead and allow Social Security benefits to be paid to people who had used identity fraud to get their Social Security number.... Senator McCain, none of the others that support this will recognize or acknowledge any of the disturbing aspects of this, of the stolen Social Security numbers. Just Imagine that his Social Security number was appropriated and that his identity is stolen. What ever happened to good old American patriotism and their offering freely an oath of Allegience.

Now begins the long road of rebuilding the Republican party. Mike Huckabee is not going to bee on McCains ticket. McCain is not going to win the presidency. Conservitives are going to focus heavily on senate and congressional races.
The dems. get the ball and run the oppisite direction and once again our forien policy is undermined by foreign interists.
