Good morning.

Here are a few Washington events of note for Thursday, January 10.

President Bush is meeting with Palestinian Authority officials on his Mideast trip and also visiting the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

The National Archives is hotsing a day-long symposium to mark the 200th anniversary of the Slave Trade Act of 1808, which abolished the slave trade in the U.S.

The Consumer Federation of America is releasing 2007 data allegedly showing that auto and home insurers collect “unprecedented” profits and surpluses by overcharging and shifting costs to consumers and taxpayers.
