Due to what was described to me as "connectivity issues," we've had to cancel today's live video chat. Instead, Tribune reporter Jill Zuckman, who's on the trail in New Hampshire, will be answering your questions live-to-tape and we will post the video later.

Sorry about that, but that's life in the (broadband) fast-lane.

I have another question:

Why are the news channels such as CNN back to declaring winners? Shouldn't it be the parties that tally the votes, Democrats and Republicans, duty to say "I do declare..."?

I recall an election where just such declarations from the news channels caused a few problems with the outcome.


Seems like you have quite a few technical problems in your so-called "broadband fast lane." Are you still using Commodore 64s?
